In Bakas' report he said he was getting some burn at the nickel spot. I don't remember seeing that anywhere.

Any info there?

Also says it was with the first team. That's pretty significant.

Golden said it today. I don't know if he meant the nickel spot or safety in the nickel defense. I'd guess the latter.

Yeah makes sense. Still running with the first team? I know Golden is moving guys around to see how hey respond but we have a lot riding on Jenkins with our depth and there were some that claimed he wasn't U material.

Jenkins is going to be special. He was the star of his team and a physical phenom. Can't keep this kid off the field.

Watching him in high school I really liked him on offense but obviously I see why he is a safety here. He is definitely an athlete.

He's definitely an athlete, I just get the sense his heart is on the offensive side of the ball. He didn't look good at all in that championship game last year on defense; wasn't physical, took bad angles and didn't look nearly as enthused playing S as he did RB. They were getting blown out, and maybe that had something to do with it, but he was much better looking in that game as an offensive player.....

A lot of these freshman have really stepped up, love the competition, hope Jenkins can be bring some much needed athleticism to the S position.

I live right next to were Rayshawn went to high school Admiral Farragut Academy and believe me when I tell you that this is a very small military school(Air Force) that over achieved last year. Rayshawn has all the physical tools to mold himself into a upper division 1A football player but due to the caliber of competition he played against last year it will be tough to tell how long it take to get use to the kind of speed he is going to see every Saturday at the next level.

List of schools he competed against last year:

Victory Christian Academy
Shorecrest Preparatory School
Keswick Christian School
Carrollwood Day School
Bradenton Christian School
Northside Christian School
Cambridge Christian School
Evangelical Christian
Canterbury School
Indian Rocks Christian School

And we all know what happened when AFAA met up with North Florida Christian in the state championship game.........

If Not.....

69 - 0

NFC......
