Do like him overall but yesterday performance was not good. Take the emotion and stats out of it. He abandoned the run on 1st down consistently, struggled putting together drives and moving the ball. We became dependent on the deep ball and that is a concern. While it certainly worked out against a bad team it can't become something that we rely on.

There were multiple times that we went for the big play and Morris was throwing into double/triple coverage. A lot of our scoring/yards came on free plays which in one way is good as our guys were coached to play through it unlike NCST but need be able to move the ball better by sustaining drives when there is no mulligan. Fisch is a sharp guy but outthinks himself, escpecially yesterday in redzone. ND has a good defense and better adjustments need to be made from Jedd if we are going to be in that game

I think I got it..if dudes are wide open down the field do not throw it too many times even though its working because we dont want to becomw dependent on 50 yard chunk plays....Okay
 
Take the stats out of it? Oh you mean take the facts out of it so we can listen to your erroneous opinion?

i understand the point but lulz at the timing. i mean come on. we haven't been chucking it deep like that up until this point. not really a trend yet. we were pretty balanced vs GT
 
Dear god. We put up 46 points with a bunch of kids, and we're ragging on the OC???????

What a ******* fanbase.

I didn't say he was a bad OC, overall I think he is legit and yes best in a long time no questions asked. Yesterday's game just didn't impress me from a 360 angle. Yes the points and yards were there but its how they came is what I am arguing. BC, NCST, BeCo,GT are not good teams where it worked. KST was a good team and there was a clear drop off in our offense. We are blessed to have the quick strike offense but just want to have the same confidence with putting together long drives (not 2 minute drill) consistently. All of you are correct that he did find a way to win with the circumstances of the game.

Outstanding post. I'm certain fisch was on the sideline coaching morris up to throw directly into triple coverage. It just makes for an exciting product on tv to watch. And extra credit for advising Morris to gun the ball on screens and other short patterns.
 
Guess you didn't like seeing GT offsides on every other play.. Look his play calling can be suspect some times but if he don't mix it up everybody's *****ing are offense is vanilla.. If he doesn't try it how will he know if it works or not.. He keeps us in the game that's all we can ask right now with an inexperienced D..

The only play I disagree with was the throw from the 2 for an int. If the throw was better and catch made I wouldn't have complained, but I'd have crammed it right in their face with a run up the middle.

Everything else was either working or close to working. Better execution by the players and we'd be calling him a **** genius.

Agred. Remember how after the Boston College game everyone was freaking out because of all of the short passes underneath, as if we were going to use that gameplan exclusively the entire season? People were criticizing Fisch for not going deep even though BC was giving us the short pass all day long. The last two games he has gone vertical because it was there. He seems very skilled at taking what the opposing defense gives him.
 
Epic fail by OP. Went full ******.

We've got young kids everywhere and they're being put in a position to succeed. That's great coaching.

The OC doesn't drop balls, throw to the wrong read, throw high/low, miss a block, etc

Just enjoy these young kids having success. Jesus Christ

First game we throw short throws, guys complain to throw it down field. Fisch last couple of games has opened it up and we are lighting it up, guys complain about I dont know what...



You cant make this sh*t up
 
Just praying he stays for three more years. That's all we'll need to start a new run. From there it on it will just be reloading like in the old days....
