Before signing day, we have a signing day warmup coming up on January 16th. The last day for underclassmen to declare for the 2013 NFL draft is January 15th at 11:59PM.

2 of our 4 biggest commitments are already on the team. Unless one of the guys gets in trouble off-the-field or in school during the spring or summer, and therefore enters the supplemental draft, we'll know if two of our more important players are on the team by the above date.

Because of his position, Curtis Porter may be Golden's most important "recruit" for the 2013 season.
Because he has a couple decent backups, Seantrel Henderson is probably the #4 most important recruit for the 2013 recruiting season, but ironically he's possibly the player with the most upside for the 2013 football season.

If you're looking for immediate impact, before worrying about guys like Thomas, Collins, Grace, Bryant and Kirkland, let's ensure these two guys are top contributors to next year's team. It will not only make an impact on the bottom line of next year's results, but it will further put us in a good selling position for 2014 recruits.

The snowball is about to pick up massive size and speed, but January 16th is a potential bump in the road.

Those guys are the difference between a 9 win season and an 11 win season. Especially Porter; him and Pierre actually form a competent DT duo. And I know people love Flowers and he is an absurd talent, but he wasn't as good as Henderson last season.

I think Seantrel is going to have a monster year. All-ACC First Team, maybe some All-American honors.

Its Money-Makin time, and he knows it.

Henderson is criminally underrated here. I know he has his issues, but most of what went on last year wasn't really his fault. He makes our OL a lot better, a lot.

Yep, all our tackles played well at times but Seantrel was the best of the bunch. He would make a big difference, must keep

He's not underrated.

Everyone knows how talented he is.

But, he ain't done nuffin yet.

350 lb guys with back problems is a scary situation. He has all the talent in the world if his health is ok. Our OL is really solid but it takes another step up if he is in the mix.

When I re-watched the FSU game, I was shocked by how Seantrel manhandled Bjoern Werner.

Aside from a garbage time sack on 4th and 20, Werner didn't do anything.

Underrated is far from what he is here.

Underachieving. (though has monster games for sure)
Unfocused

But few if any think he is underrated.

Half of the board wanted him gone before the season even started, saying it wouldn't be that big of a loss because he hasn't done much yet.

Hardly anybody acknowledged just how well he played during this year. ****, like D said, the kid stonewalled one of the top DE's in college football.

I really don't want to derail Lu's thread, but saying that he was unfocused this year is a bunch of bull****.

SMH seems like the guy that will always get a ****** rep because of his first 2 seasons here.

**** people were ragging on him for attending 2 funerals before the season.

SMH at the idea that Seantrel didnt have periods of being unfocused over the last year. If he was focused out of spring ball, he would have been clear cut #1 before the summer's personal issues got in the way.

Don't agree that half the board wanted him gone. A vocal minority yes, who posted often. Not most or half even. I know I certainly didn't.

He played Werner extremely well.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person to notice that. He had the best season out of the OL to me. Linder/Feliciano both had too many penalties in key situations.

His best friend died. Then another friend died. Most people wouldn't handle it that well. By all reports from Golden himself before that, Henderson had rededicated himself and lost a lot of weight. C'mon.

Oh and I said that he was focused this year. So please, tell me how he wasn't focused during the season. I would love to hear that.
