2023 Jamel Howard Jr 3* DT/NT decommited from Wisconsin last month an is still unsigned. Howard is a long armed massive midwest interior dline Recuit at 6'3" 330lbs that is a high motor, high football IQ, country strong interior dlinemen. He does play with a high hat and allows blockers into his chest because of poor technique, but these flaws are correctable especially after getting punched in the ribs by powerful P5 olinemen in college.



Wisconsin is try to get him back, Michigan, Illinois, and Ole Miss are also in the mix recruiting him. Howard is your typical B10 type interior dlinemen except he has a high motor. This is what Mario is trying to build out in Miami's trenches.

Good find @Paranos . This kid has potential. Good size. Respectable burst off the line. Uses his hands to disengage blockers and has a go to move with his swim usage. Kid is also fleet footed for someone his size. I like that multiple times on his tape you see him chase down the runner. Good effort for someone his size.

I'd like to see him be more physical and use his sheer size and strength to his advantage.

Like @Paranos said, The kid needs to learn stay low, shoot with a flat back, and assert his imposing size to overwhelm blockers but this is definitely a project worth taking. Kid has a high upside.
