...but not anymore. There is no doubt that our defense is missing talent in the back 7 but I've never seen a defense so poorly prepared for Georgia Tech's plan to get to the edge. The announcers couldn't stop talking about how Miami expected Georgia Tech to try and get their speed on the edge and yet when it came time to stop a jet sweep or a simple zone read with a quarterback who can't even throw the ball, the defense got abused repeatedly.
271 rushing yards, against a team that they KNEW couldn't throw the ball, is pathetic. Frankly, even when Georgia Tech wanted to throw the ball, they did so with ease. How many bad offensive units do we need to make look like 2019 LSU before we try to do something differently? The DL got pushed around, the linebackers never even sniffed the offensive backfield and our secondary is almost entirely useless.
Get this man out of here.
