The players he has to coach are just not what we have come to expect as you're typical MIAMI player. They were un-ranked - 2 or 3 star nobodies we were stuck with. With these top recruiting classes that are being brought in we will return to prominence. Its not an overnight thing. Its obvious when watching the players to see who sucks (ex. highsmith) and who doesn't (ex, howard, perryman) on defense. At MOST, 2 more year of this nonsense and our entire team will have nothing but top notch talent and plenty of depth to be relevant. We as fans just have to ride out the storm. (The storm being our defense is the scraps of a once average unit with some promising up and comers (ex. burns, elder, howard, carter)
Now if in 2 or 3 years time we see the same pop warner mistakes and terrible play calling, then we have a serious problem. But until then, all you fans have to realize that this is what we have and we have to make it work. It sucks, i know but its not the end of the world. Al Golden obviously realizes this and all season has been downplaying the success saying "Were not back yet" but none of you retards cared to listen.
One thing we lost out on is hooking up our players and recruits with the promises of money, and services. Other big name teams like Alabama are smart enough to not get caught doing that kind of stuff which allowed them to build success and achieve prominence and keep it by hand picking the top talent from wherever they see it. Kids might say they're loyal to a school, city or area but when Saban calls up saying were going to go for a threepeat and you may or may not get hundreds of thousands of dollars cash under the table, those kids are going to go to Alabama. Guaranteed. All big schools do it and if you deny it i feel sorry for you and your apparent blindness.
Ill finish on this. We've been hit hard 3 times in a row after this last great performance against duke. We still have the opportunity to end the 2013 football season a 10-3 team. 10 and 3! Tell me you would've believed that if i said that last year. No way in ****. It all comes down beating UVA. Its so possible to beat this team and it hurts me to say that. "We might beat a 2-8 team." That's so bad but here's some advice for us grown ups out there. Its mind over matter, because if you dont mind, it dont matter. Its just football. I know we like to take it seriously. Trust me, i have 2 Miami Hurricanes tattoos. I'm a die hard fan. Anyways i really feel if we get our **** together we can easily win and that'll motivate the players to win out the rest of the year. I feel if we lose then were going to see recruits decomitting. Stuckey already left but im not worried at all. ****, he could even come back but we need to keep these kids on board. That's imperative.
