It’s time UM leaves Florida for recruiting

Why not get better coaches, better recruiters, join the bag game, start winning games instead of walking away from the most fertile recruiting backyard. That is the advantage we have over other schools so why not do anything we can to capitalize on the advantage

Why?

Just recruit the Nayquan Wrights and Asante Samuels . That want to be here. If you get lucky landing a TS type talent. Take it as a bonus.

This. You don't have to abandon South Florida at all. Our failure is in turning our backs on talented kids that want to be here because they aren't the cream of the cream. There are enough highly talented kids in South Florida that WANT to play for UM. These are the kids that are gonna put the effort to be the best they can be anyway. Your less likely to have divisions in the team with kids like this.

Guys, the reality is... Miami need to recruit out of the “state of Miami.” We focus our time, resource, energy on this local kids when their Parents don’t want them staying home. They want them out of the city. It has NOTHING to do with our staff ability to recruit. It boils down to losing and not wanting to live in South Florida anymore. My mom’s neighbor told his son (a 4-star recruit) that Miami will not be one of his choice. Stanford, UGA, FSU, or Oregon are his choices now. That’s so stupid to me, but it is what it is. We have to face it that. We need to start invading GA, TX, SC, MD, etc.
This isn’t NCAA14 Football on PlayStation where you are extending the pipeline to Texas, GA, etc.

We are starting to establish a nice connection to the northeast via NY. We need to keep pursuing that. I think Jess Simpson has his Georgia connections and a full season to recruit now. He's gotten his feet wet and now sees how it goes down here.

The OC and offensive coach hires are going to be huge for us. Show offensive players we can put points on the board and make it fun again and it will be a different story. We need to hold on to the 2020 kids we have right now.

No you keep recruiting the state of Florida. Those want to be here will be here those who don’t **** them

The staff needs to stop putting all of their eggs in one basket and being silo'd on the elite guys. You recruit the Tyrique Stevenson's, but you always assume that you don't land them. If we had landed about 7-8 guys from South Florida that we didn't even bother recruiting that came out of South Florida and went to other schools, we'd actually have a fairly decent class. Now we're going to be scrambling on the transfer market along with JUCO.
