Is there actual proof McCord is weak vs run?

I keep seeing & hearing this

Ive never even seen him play on running downs

The coaches are afraid to sit Shayon Green cuz he is a captain, but Shayon cant rush passer

Not playing McCord enough will cost us

even if he is weak against the run, I see a lot of 2 and long situations that he can also thrive in. He's a beast off the edge and can make game changing plays if given enough opportunities. I would love to see him in there more often and not be so structured on defense that we're predictable...

This.

He only comes in on 3rd down in obvious passing situations even though he can be used on 2nd down also.

Yes, there is actual proof and I have it. This is a photo from last Saturday's game vs Wake showing McCord getting handled by a Wake offensive lineman during a running play:

McCord is not weak against the run but Shayon Green is stout and extremely good against the run.

McCord and Shayon complement each other very well. Shayon comes in and stuffs the run and we turn McCord lose to rush the passer

I know, if he'd play more, we would probably be 7-0.....sucks

What was the issue against the run on Saturday???? He was in on pretty much every 3rd down and never got close to the QB because his split was 20 yards outside and just ran behind the QB.

Green is very good against the run.

Last two weeks against the run

WF: 59 rushing yards on 25 attempts (2.4 AVG)

UNC: 105 rushing yards on 36 attempts (2.9 Avg)

Rushing for the season 39th or 141.7 YPG and that includes a game against GT (4th with 315.6 YPG)

FAU: 133 Yards on 43 Rushes (3.1)
UF: 122 Yards on 44 Rushes (2.8)
SS: 139 Yards on 26 Rushes (5.3)*
GT: 335 Yards on 62 Rushes (5.4)
USF: 99 Yards on 33 Rushes (3.0)
UNC: 105 Yards on 36 Rushes (2.9)
WF: 59 Yards on 25 Rushes (2.4)

If you remove the outlier (GT), 657 Rushing Yards (109.5 YPG) on 207 Rushes (34.5 RPG) for 3.17 YPC

*Keep in mind they had one rushing TD late in the third quarter for 75 yards that was not against our first team D*
