I will just say it. I just don't think we have great players. All of our play makers are either young and don't know or are not developed yet.I don't know why people thought we were a top 10 team before the season. We have no one as a threat for the run after Duke Johnson. The only receiver we have that stretches the field high is 5'10. His back up is 6'2" but is still learning the playbook. That was his main problem in the summer too. Tight ends are just fast lineman and our lineman have no one to come in for them. Our d-line gets killed in run defense. That is really all I see every defensive play is our line getting pushed back, plus no depth so we are in trouble when they go down. Linebackers are okay, Denzel is good but when he is in the box he will over pursue stuff all the time and it shoots us in the foot with these long runs.We have no depth at safety either, so for all the posters who go crazy wanting A.J. and Kacy off the field well who else do you want in? Oh and Deon has had a less than spectacular year coming back from injury. For us to be the team we want to be we need depth. We can't rely on young kids. Rely on the one who have been here atleast 2 years. If you have to start a young kid because his talent gets you farther than the older ones brain then that is some bad prospects. Also when you guys heard the word process for our school how long did you think it would take? Because this really is how long it takes it isn't a sudden thing unless all the pieces fall in place. It will be awhile til we can compete with the top 10 teams again but we are close. Also, who ever is seriously ****ed because golden said his defense did well, what did you want him to say? You have a team that is down on the self and in the middle of a struggle. They are not dumb, they know the defense looked ugly. but they don't need it rubbed in their face and have them not confident in the next game. Last also, we have gone against plenty of teams who are not in the ACC and out of state to challenge us these past years, stop saying that we make our schedule week. Final thought, I think it is time to let Mark go. Jethro might need to too. Let Al have 2 more years and if we are not happy with him after that then make your decision. I am okay with how we have done this year so far we are 8-3 and headed to a bowl game. The future is quite bright for our thriving conference too. Sorry for too much text.
