I’m starting to think that cmr and co. have been struggling to realize that they miscalculated.
They never took into consideration that the sofla elite kids don’t want to come here and also miscalculated the high degree in which they flip..
There are 2 reasons for this. One is that they’ve heard and have been part of the recruiting wars down here that always and I mean always have the U as the school they have to beat. I bet sonny would’ve left to uga for half the price cause he was never coming here. The reality is that all of these sec teams are getting played by these kids.
There must be some discussions going on about how hard it was to get Dalvin, Cooper, and all of the other kids to not come here but
It’s starting to look more and more like it was all BS. Not all, but most of these kids ski masked these schools by making them think we were really in the picture. Saying the words “dream school” and stating about they’re whole family being canes keeps the bag weight up.
How many kids decommit at the same rate these sofla kids do? I can bet our flip rate has to be double compared to most teams.
Could you imagine coming from uga and Gertting maybe one or two per class to then come here and have multiple kids for multiple classes decommit? It’s obvious they didn’t plan for it. If they did we wouldn’t be in full scramble mode for the 3rd year in a row.
We need ot’s and we’re tryig to poach a wake kid in late November. How tf is that a plan??!!!!!
Offer edge’s nephew at the last minute cause scrowley flipped? Are you freaking serious!!!
How Many coaches say the same thing? “ Ohh if I coached down there I would kill it!”
Really you think you would? You think any coach can just come here and miraculously they’re gonna turn down bags, agents, family jobs, cars, and cash?
You think “ hey I coach here now!! you can stay!!!
I know many will argue what I just said by saying the following: “nah dude I know so and so was really going to come”.
We’ve all heard the stories about how Ridley was so close to coming as well as dalvin. Look how many pages Jeudy got. He was never coming or even considering it.
Just look at jobe the ultimate troll job to the U and the ultimate ski mask roberrry of bama. Dude straight knew he wasn’t coming for a long time.

Hate to break it to you but we also drop bags. It's either 1. We dont have enough money in the bags to keep up. Or 2. They wanna play for teams that get them the most exposure and awards and rings. None of which has happened here in their lifetimes.

2 things.

1. If you're one of those people that think most 17 year olds, especially uncommitted, has his mind made up about what college he wants to attend before signing day, you haven't dealt with today's youth.

2. Dont see how people are mad at Miami for waiting to offer edge's nephew. Last thing we want to do is give a noncommitable offer to a local legacy.

I'll tell you straight up, most of the time it's both. Miami hasn't proven that we're worth taking less money to attend lately. Unless you're a TE.

Prefrontal cortex
Recently, investigators have studied various aspects of the maturation process of the prefrontal cortex of adolescents.17,18 The prefrontal cortex offers an individual the capacity to exercise good judgment when presented with difficult life situations. The prefrontal cortex, the part of the frontal lobes lying just behind the forehead, is responsible for cognitive analysis, abstract thought, and the moderation of correct behavior in social situations. The prefrontal cortex acquires information from all of the senses and orchestrates thoughts and actions in order to achieve specific goals.
The prefrontal cortex is one of the last regions of the brain to reach maturation, which explains why some adolescents exhibit behavioral immaturity. There are several executive functions of the human prefrontal cortex that remain under construction during adolescence, as illustrated in Figures 3 and and4.4. The fact that brain development is not complete until near the age of 25 years refers specifically to the development of the prefrontal cortex

I can't imagine @Cane Dynasty reading this OMG I blackout again big dog , this why recruiting and parents lives are a mess

1. Doesn’t explain why it’s only our commits that flip at such a high rate compared to other schools.
2. It’s not the offer it’s the alleged no communication with him at all until recently.

Despite the bag money. The culture has to change. Winning cures the culture. I don't mean winning 9-10 games and a Coastal Division Championship. It's about beating Clemson and FSU (they will be back), winning ACC championships. Conference titles are pretty much an automatic bid to the CFP, so the focus should be on the ACC title. When that happens, recruiting will pick up and start selling itself. I think this 2018 class gets it done. They'll bring Miami its 1st ACC title and perhaps its 6th National Championship. It can happen if the right pieces are in place. Richt thinks next year's offensive line will be the best since he's been here. I know that not saying much.

The offensive line has to become dominant. They need to be coached to be "dominant." Look at Wisconsin. They have dominant offensive lineman. They are not the top offensive lineman coming out of high school, but are developed into be top players in college. Next year is a make or break year for Searles. He will have 100% Richt recruits. If he hasn't developed them into championship level, then he needs to go. I'm not holding my breath with him because he should have developed the guys that are seniors. They were sophomores when he came in. They should be much better than they are.

Moving forward, it's all about the trenches and the QB. We need our QB to be elite. N'kosi or Jarren could be. Weldon has been all over the map with off the field stuff that I don't believe he has what it takes mentally to be a starter here let a lone elite. We have enough weapons on offense. I think the defense should be steady. Just depends on how the DTs develop. Nesta needs to have a big off season in the weight room to get bigger and stronger. I'm very interested to see if Jordan Miller turns into a trench bully. The kid has great size and quickness. Needs strength and skill added to his game. This next year is where Jess Simpson really earns his money and we find out how good of a coach he really is. We need to replace 3/4 DBs. I think we have really good young players at those positions. They just need to grow into the position. LB should be solid since we should potentially only lose 1 in Shaq. I have no idea where he would be drafted, so it's possible he returns for his senior year. Same goes for Joe Jackson. He's had a good, but not great year. Not enough to justify leaving early IMO. So, DEs should be back. Solid 2 deep with Jackson, Garvin, Patchan, and Rousseau.

Just to reiterate. Our mindset needs to be about building our team to win ACC titles. You have to win an ACC title to get to a national title. Do that and recruiting takes care of itself.

We do??!!
Maybe, but not at the size these other schools do and in the obvious way in which they do it.
Let’s see how the ncaa feels when we move an entire family from American Samoa so we can land a pair of brothers that are 5 star dt’s.
I’m sure Emmett will come with an entire 55 gallon drum of gear oil to inspect every **** ******* in coral gables.

Also..take a look at the rate south fla kids transfer HS schools. They look out for self mostly. Also a lot of kids do want to get out of south Florida for whatever reason

We need to be consistently winning games. Winning cures everything. When we were 10-0 last year and on a 15 game streak we were the talk of most everything in South Florida. Then we go 5-8 in our next 13 and the kids are like "I'm good on UM". We are about as predictable as the stock market right now.

Yea, the super team mentality is starting to become annoying as ****. Like someone stated earlier they are 17 year old kids and they see people in the pros bouncing around to get a 'ship and they all want to do it now.

I think it's mostly about winning. Look at the atmosphere at the notre dame game last year? An extremely high percentage of kids would want to play for that, high enough that if a local stud or 2 or 3 leave for bama, UGA or elsewhere, it's okay because you can't get them all. Kids want to win and do it in that kind of atmosphere. Who wants to play for a team that repeatedly loses 4 in a row to teams that shouldn't be in the same ballpark as Miami? It makes the kids wonder what the **** is going on, and do I really want to go there, when UGA, bama, UF, (whoever the hot team is) is winning, they get paid something, and the game atmosphere is awesome.

The players knew Golden was a mess and they didn't want to be a part of it. He didn't have a chance in recruiting because his on field product was a disgrace. Kids are seeing it again under Richt, and so the kids wanting to go elsewhere is happening. Some are surprised by this; some aren't. If Richt will adjust, hire an excellent OC (and I mean excellent!!) and that OC hires an excellent OL coach who can coach what that OC needs for that offense to thrive (not necessarily an excellent OL coach who can't do what the new OC needs to be done), keep Diaz and if Diaz can keep doing what he's doing, then this thing will turn around because the local kids will be clamoring for offers and wouldn't think about deserting (a few will, but most won't) and Miami will enjoy 2-3 home games like 2017 notre dame every season, and Miami will beat most teams like it did VT last Saturday (a nice 20-30 point win with fans complaining that 1 or 2 kids didn't make a catch in the win, rather than calling for coach firings because of inexplicable losses). That will get UM into the playoffs or close to it every year.

But it'll take Richt making the necessary changes, some really good coaching, some really good recruiting and unfortunately some (more) time.

Wasn't nearly as prevalent as it is now. You used to have waivers to go to schools you weren't zoned for and put down some "academic" reason for the switch. I had to do it in HS in the early 2000s to go to a school I wasn't zoned for. It's a free for all now.
