This is false. The truth is the Mario's high school recruits have played well. A lot of the top recruits are still puppies thst haven't played.

What has been disappointing are the transfers on defense. Barrow is the only transfer defender that has played consistently well. I'm done with the portal experiment. Too many mercenaries who have performed poorly and took away snaps from other players. Limit the portal to 3-4 impact players.

I said it in other threads this week. Mario has used the portal just as much as Norvell. That's a fact. The difference is Mario has recruited high school well and Norvell hasn't. I went on to say that if Mario didn't limit his portal acquisitions, he could wind up like Norvell with a hollowed out roster if our young players transfer out due to continued transferd playing over them.

For example, of the 13 WRs on the roster, only 4 have significant snaps. For 2025, Horton is the only returning WR with experience. If Mario goes to the portal for experienced WRs, it will likely mean that Horton, the 2 WR transfers, and JoJo are the only WRs to get snaps in 2025. That means that in 4 years under Mario, only 2 Mario recruits will have played any significant snaps. If the young WRs transfer out because they were portaled over, the WR room will be hollowed out void of talent or experience a la FSU. Different in thst FSU lacks high school talent, but potentially the same result.

If you need that many words to defend your recruiting....its over for you son...write your letter to the ACC now...before you are irrelevant again.

Well hopefully everyone wakes up hungover and feeling awful after all the rage posting silly things last night.
Anyone who knew this team and something about Cuse knew this was going to be a 50/50 toss up away game going in. To many people had their heads buried watching our D all season. I had us losing going in.
The 21-0 lead had me believing for a moment until they scored. I know this D. Again, by the end of the the 1st half I knew what was coming. We faced the 2nd good O we faced all year and our D has gotten worse as the season went on.
While saying all this, you should expect to win any game you are up by 21 and score 38 points in. I certainly don't want to get into and face a playoff team with this D.
Let's work the portal and turn to the young players where talent lies on this team next season.Make the staff changes and develop. I am giving Mario 2 more seasons. He has to have proven something more by then.
To many bust highers. You have to be able to bench anyone regardless of NIL or a sibling and develop backups. It seems ridiculous complaining so much about a 10 win team for us, but they didn't reach their potential. We actually did have the most talent in the conference this year and we failed. Mario knows it's on him. Not the God awful D. This is his team. Go Canes!
