Four-star Miami commitment Deejay Dallas was on campus this weekend for Paradise Camp. He shared his thoughts on the festivities with CanesInSight.

Paradise camp was full of excitement. The former players graced Greentree practice field where they once grinded out to be great. They blessed us with knowledge that no other schools alumni has, and from there we took over. The competition level was high! There was only top competition out there, no slaps whatsoever. And everyone seemed to enjoy it. The hands-on coaching really helped out a lot! Gave us advice on what we needed to work on! The weekend overall was very productive.

Best advice I got was coach Phillip Buchanon telling me that I had all the tools to be great, I just have to keep working at it!

It was crazy to hear people saying "oh that's deejay Dallas" and me introducing myself to them and all it was fun hanging around them

Other prospect I was most impressed by: Mike Harley

This is the kind of kid that gives me supreme confidence that our program is going to be rebuilt into something great & spectacular.
Deejay is a Natural Born Cane! That's what I want on this team & he's what we need.
I don't give a **** about all those 5-star divas that think the world revolves around them, kids like Deejay are more important to me.

Great Kid. Kinda kid every fan and coach wants on their team. Head screwed on straight and modest. Interesting comment on Mike Harley. Harley seems to be a playmaker that you should find room for.

@Liberty - I could not have said it better!

Harley looked like he belonged at that Atlanta camp a few weeks ago. And he was nowhere near as small as people try to portray him. He's going to be a player at the D1 level.

He's a leader. We need to have true leaders on the team to win championships...

This. Like Wayne Jr was saying Diaz wasn't concerned with Steeds frame because they trust the S&C staff. Well, get Harley on campus and bulk him up a little. He's 5'10, with plenty of speed to spare with getting a little bigger.

I don't see a difference in his frame and Dorsett coming out honestly.

On the flip side, I see their point that we have some small receivers on the roster, but he won't play with Lewis, Berrios will only be on campus his freshman year, then it's just Bruce because Mullins isn't in that small receiver category. He will play outside

Harley is a Phillip Dorsett clone imo. I think DeeJay talks the staff into an offer on this one.

The staff could be playing the game though. They know he could be an easy flip down the road. I'll let this one play out. They haven't even seen him in pads yet, and neither have I honestly. I think he's more than a 7on7 hit, but we'll see. A lot of people said the same about Mullins but I don't agree with that either.

I think they just wanted him for Paradise Day to see him versus top competition. I think we will offer. He'll be a Cane. We redshirt him and let him lose as a redshirt freshman. Anyways I trust the staff.
