With all due respect and condolences to all players and coaches this year but we should just go ahead and self impose BEFORE duke game.
UM has shown unprecendented cooperation with investigation and this would just show even more goodwill. We cannot forget that transgretions WERE made and no better way of dealing with them than accepting that trangressions were made and our willingness to accept another bowl ban. We cannot lose sight of all the work that Shalala and others have done to try to get this past us and we need to take our medicine even if it is bitter. We screwed up and we need to show that we are accountable for those transgressions.
The team will then know that Duke is their bowl game and they should come out and lay some whoop *** on them. I see no reason why we cannot take it to them the way we are playing lately (defense and offense) with all players back. In fact knowing that this is MJ's last game the whole entire team should dedicate this game to that dude.
This would then free up some time for Golden to focus on recruiting as this class is small but essential for the future. Bring in 6, Kirkland, a RB, Bostwick, Grace, no more decommits and you have a VERY solid small class.
Follow up with 2014 monster class and the blueprint is here for a good run in years to come.
