Those kids battled last night, but we saw our OL is in desperate need of an influx of better OLinemen. The staff has shown they can get the best out of what they have, but now they have to recruit what we need. The addition of George Brown is huge, but we have to get Slaton and Telfort. Our OL recruiting class will be a "C" at best without these two locals.

Committed: Donaldson- Can play immediately
Hillery- Will need time to develop, but athletic
Dykstra- Need time to develop and adjust to speed

Best Chances to Get: Slaton- Top SoFl OG, would be an immediate replacement for Isadora next season
Telfort- A must we keep him at home!!! We need a LT yesterday
The GA kid that played with Sherriff in HS. He's a powerful guard and very talented.

This would give us the interior foundation we need and depth can be added in 2018 Class.

Agreed 100%. The OL just isn't very good. We have maybe one true OT and that's St. Louis and he should not be playing right now. Our LT is basically an OG. Kaaya hasn't looked great by any means but I'd be shell shocked behind that OL as well. Brown(who to me is a RT), Telfort(LT potential but probably shouldn't start year 1), and Donaldson(who needs to lose a good amount of weight to improve those feet) all could be major additions. Slaton is a mauler but I doubt he'd start year 1. Darling should be moved to RG after this season. That leaves McDermott at LG, Linder at center(who to me sucks), and open spots at both OTs. Maybe Donaldson starts at LT and one of Brown/Telfort at RT or vice versa. Either the OL needs to improve depth and needs starting OTs.

Don't need Telfort because he can't play from Day 1, in fact there's no other tackle we're in on that can probably play Day 1 and NO Slaton IS NOT going to play tackle

So we're going to pass on Telfort completely because he'll need probably about a year to develop before he's a really good tackle? Got it.

Yup, especially since the little *** had us forth for him like 2 1/2 months ago and no he isn't going to need a year...he's extremely raw. He wins because of his length and if you turn on the camp vids he's always getting smoked just like Kai-Leon

Donaldson, Slaton, Dykstra, and Hillary. The kid from LSU can play LT, Donaldson at RT, and Slaton at G

I wouldn't mind Caleb Chandler either

So what is your issue with Kadeem Telfort (considering he is one of the best offensive Tackles in Florida this year) and looks primed to flip to back to Miami.

Extremely raw...we don't have time to wait for playable players when we could use our slots to get kids to play right away

Agreed. Everyone has raved about Telfort and how he moves with his size.

For the record, anyone who says "don't need X because he can't play right away" is full of ****.

Yep. You can't approach recruiting like that, especially at OL.

Telfort and slaton are takes. Period.

Yup. For Miami you have to hope that some of the kids that are on O-line and have been developing 2-3 years will fill in the roles left by graduating seniors and/or players that are leaving early. Yeah, there's only a small amount of players on the O-line that could come in and play immediately on top 25 teams. If you use that formula for every player you take, then you're setting yourself up for some depth issues. Not everyone can be Alabama where you can afford to red-shirt/grey-shirt 5-star as well as high 4-star players.
