Wondering what you folks think about how recruits are processing the fact that we were shut out in the first three rounds.

No one on D rose to top tier status. Manny and his assistants had three years to get guys ready.

Recruits want to get paid eventually, no?

Manny got his guys ready, as did the rest of the defensive staff. Some on here just expected us to 4 or 5 first round picks. I'm pretty confident most of the Canes drafted this year will have good NFL careers.

Certainly will give recruits something else to think about but the ultimate solution is winning. If the program starts to trend up all of these will be a non issue. We are coming off a 7-6 season so it will also impact players in the draft

U would have to be naive in to thinking where u get drafted is not a reason as to y a kid commits to a school.

Winning, player development, and getting paid is the game. U think kids were knocking down our door to come here simply b/c we sported a U on the side of the helmet? It’s b/c we were getting our players paid at the next level as well as winning. THATS THE ULTIMATE GOAL. Y risk ur health if you ain’t going to get handsomely paid for it?

So if our guys didn’t get drafted high then I guess our defensive coaches did a helluva job coaching them to a top 4 defense?

We have a lot of talent on our roster and multiple guys who look like they will be high draft picks - JT4, Brevin, Mallory, the DL’s and LB’s...

It’s turning our way.

If there was an Award for Douchebag Porst of the Day, this Porst would win in a Landslide....

Georgia had ZERO guys drafted in 2017. Then signed the #1 class the following year.

So I dont think having 5-6 guys picked will somehow set the program back.

Redwine and MJ is a testament to great coaching relative to where they came in Star/rank wise in their position group

Joe should hve came back and put up double digits after a subpar JR year that he was limited with his injury (plus this year was a deep dline draft)

JJ was always going late due to size/speed... his playmaking/instincts kept him from being undrafted
