One of the biggest things i noticed from the game yesterday is that most fans place unrealistic goals for true freshman. The vast majority of the recruits do not have the physique to come in and be able to handle the bumps and bruises of a full season. Anyone at the game probably noticed how much bigger ********University's players were than ours. If there were twenty recruits at the game, only K.C. McDermott and Sony Michel look like they can handle it.

It was the same thing with last years class. The players who were built for it (Flowers and Bush) will probably be the only freshmen to play at a high level for the whole season.

In about two years, we will be able to see some of the other guys (Duke, Gabe Terry, Tyriq McCord, etc.) reach their potential. Perfect example is Florida and their class from 2010.

Thanks man,

I'm 100% certain you are the first to notice this trend in College Football.

btw... Alex Collins disagrees with your statement.

"impact freshmans" .....Randy? is that you?

just messing with you man. It seems to me that fans (at least from what i've gathered on this board) seemed to realize that playing a ton of freshmen will lead to a team that gets pushed around, plays inconsistently and makes a ton of mistakes at the outset of the season. Nobody was predicting a lot of wins for this team, and rightfully so. But, it seems a lot of people forgot this notion as the season progressed. This team was never going to be equipped to play 4 quarters with the big boys this year. Quite simply, the roster has too many glaring holes (looking at you DL, TE and S units) and/or is just too physically and mentally immature at other spots. Everyone ripping our coaches need to go back and remember what this team was always going to be this year. We will be a force in 2014. Just gotta be patient

Not saying that they cant play or i dont want to recruit them. All im saying is that when you get to game 6 or 7 and they arent looking like game 1 or 2. That will be the reason why.

As good as AC looks. Dont expect him to be a powerback and last a full season.

Yea you're right to an extent but UF is a bad comparison they lost a lot of players from their 2010 class... Other than that you're right... These kids arent ready to carry the load... We're witnessing it now... Look at Duke... Many thought he was going to be better than Miller but that isn't the case in year 1...
