like a lot of the posters on here are. No one expected us to win, let alone play them even for 3 quarters, but we did. Now people act like we were favored and we pi$$ed a game away. Grow up. FSU was playing juniors and seniors out there, and we were playing mostly freshman and sophomores. The team was outmatched and played with great heart, but like the mid to late 90s, didn't have the depth and experience to beat what's probably going to be a 10-2 or 11-1 team. The quicker everyone realizes we're not Bama, and we're not going to turn it around in 2 years, the more fun you will actually have watching this team grow.

Bye week comes at a great time. Regroup, get healthy, and play a 4 game season. Finish strong! Future looks bright. Young guys like Bush, McCord, and Gunter are coming on....

Honestly, we've lost against the 4 best teams we've played, we beat the 4 easier teams. We're not near FSU, KState, or Notre Dame experience, talent, or scheme-wise. We should've beat UNC, if not for a terrific individual effort by Gio Bernard and a ****ty game by Morris. And...and...and if we close out ****ing strong, we will erase lots of the negativity surrounding the program.


But, you have to expect that people are going to be ****ed, because there is also a lot to be ****ed about if you care about this program.

There is a difference between being pi$$ed we lost, which I am, trust me, just ask my wife, and being unrealistic and acting like little spoiled brats who think we should be 11-1 this year just because.
 
Look I'm not giving up either, Im hoping for 8-4 and think it would be fantastic...but let's face it, al is already thinking about next year, he'd rather take a ban this year and that's what he's gonna do...no doubt, the future is bright, but unless we take a ban, we will only extend the road back to prominence, we have to get this sanctions out of the way ASAP

See my post before the game about the ACC Ship. This is the type of game that can be built on. We did not get embarrassed, played hard, and with a couple breaks could have won. VT is the game and I just do not see us losing 4 straight. Fisch must get his head out of his a** and commit to the run.

Key stat of the game - 3-10. That was FSU 3rd down efficiency. Earlier in the year this team could not get off the field on 3rd down. If this trend continues we can win out.
 
I would have liked to see more runs, but we can't just run it for the sake of running it. It's not like we were getting even 4 yards a pop. Most runs were going nowhere.
 
More balance is all I am asking for. A QB who has not practiced all week and has a bad leg should not throw 43 passes.
 
This bye week is absolutely perfect. Those guys are going to be hurting today.

Right where I thought we'd be, quite honestly. Taking it week to week. Not giving up at all. **** team is paper thin and fighting like ****. Give 'em credit. Bunch of cot **** freshmans we're trotting out there week after week. Once again it comes down to VT. It's one that I figured them to lose, because VT has had our number. We have to find an answer for the TE masquerading as a QB that they have. Those type of guys give us fits, as we've all known for years. If Miami somehow finds a way to beat VT they will have exceeded my expectations to this point in the year, for wins and losses. I still have them at 7-5 overall. But, ****, I'm hoping we put together our best game of the year and smoke that team.
 
With over 10 days to prepare for VT and the division still up for grabs, we had better look good on November 1. Lose that game and this season is over.

People keep saying the silly "we need to commit to the run" our run game isn't that good..we are not going to win games if we run it 40 times for the sake of running it.
 
Back to the OP. Our remaining games are very winnable. All 4 teams suck.

Also, we have looked bad twice this season, and look at where undefeated KSU and ND are ranked. Also, did you see what KSU did to West Virginia at WV? Talk about a whooping in your own stadium!

Losing to FSU really sucked last night. Losing to our biggest rival always does. But you're right: stepping back, there's some good defense to build off, and the guys hung in the game. Let's get them Chokies.
