I'll admit I'm critical of the staff.

Fack is it frustrating when we lose a kid, or don't offer first, or seemingly reach on a prospect.

But days like today, seeing so many top kids on campus, trying to work on kids committed else where, offering elite locals kids and even the progress pictures of the IPF. Bring a smile to my face.

These kids dont bleed orange and green like they use to and the bags aren't getting ang lighter. But I have to admit that this staff is working for their pay cheque. We aren't missing for a lack of trying.

At least with this staff it's a question of "when" not "if" we will be back on top.

Re-establishing the culture in the city takes time. Last year was the first big step, esp the Notre Dame game. All these 8 year olds in South Florida who watched that will have that image burned into their brain for life. Need to keep winning, keep these kids fans, once you start getting guys, everyone that grew up looking up to them will want to be Canes. And that cycle just perpetuates itself until the train is rolling downhill full-steam.

We're ahead of schedule. It appears that we're finally solidifying STA, which is massive. In a few years' time at this rate we'll get any South Florida guy we want and have the rest begging Miami to take them.

Don't understand the "why didn't we get everyone" mentality.

We are a team that, until last year, wasn't relevant for a decade. But, we're going to out to Bama/Clemson/OSU, etc. for everyone. SMDH.

A top ten class is a win for us at this stage.

It takes time. Dabo once lost to Radio. Kids aren't as loyal to us-- or anyone else anymore. It used to be if you were from Indiana you liked the Pacers or if you were from Cincinnati you liked the Bengals. Now kids like the Houston Rockets because of James Harden's shoes or the Seattle Seahawks because Russell Wilson is fun to play with on Madden. It's just a different era. But young people like swag and the U will continue to have it-- after all, we are the birthplace, so we're on the right track and should be good to go.
