Isnt that the approach this staff is supposed to take towards recruiting? Why does it feel like we are just starting to look for another rb AFTER Collins left?

Because we are. The window is open for AC to come back and commit. But it's also open for someone else to take his spot. If a recruit wants to take the "At Will" approach to recruiting, we will take the "At Will" approach to his scholarship offer.

We better not lay a huge **** down the stretch, or else this class is going to look like a ****'s medicine cabinet - filled with Plan B's.

Nothing wrong with Plan B's...its when you get to C, D, and Randy Special F's that it becomes a problem.

We went after Derrick Henry like 2 months ago before he committed to Bama. We after Smoke the VA kid that committed UVA.

We didn't go after that Smoke kid. Checked him out and he wasn't any good so we moved on.

And listen to Larry here.

My guess is that this thread doesn't exist if we win yesterday

Not true at all. Weird as it may sound, my favorite part of college fb is recruiting. I have been on here saying that we should be going after 2 backs. It didnt seem like we were actively recruiting anyone else. We checked guys interest but no one really showed up on our radar. My thing is that the staff seemed passive in his recruitment. Is it a bad rb class, do we feel we still have a good shot at him? Why doesnt his recruitment match their mantra?

Rewind the clock to last season when you could tell we were really trying to bring in one more RB to add to the class. We already had Duke and Dillard but the staff wanted another one. We haven't filled that spot yet so I definitely think we have been looking at 2 RB's for this class from the beginning.

You seem to follow recruiting closely so you should know that for as much info as we DO get these days there is still so much more going on behind the scenes that we never hear about. Think this staff has shown that ability so far.

Many of the top posters on different cane sites have been saying since Collins committed to miami that he was not going to sign here.Even after Collins kept assuring his commitment they kept their prediction. The satff has done evrything possible short of getting on their knees and blowing him to keep him commited and it hasn't worked. They need to make a move on another top RB now or we wilgo into next year with only 1 miami caliber RB on the roster.

I don't think it has any bearing on recruits, they can see how close we are. They can see we need better players, that is where they come in.
