No doubt coaching matter but answer these... And go canes!


1) How does Coker 60-15 with best start ever by a head coach like 38-1.
1B) Jimbo went from ok pretty good teams to wow this team is amazing. Not much changed other than a Heisman qb.
2) How does VT with same coaches lose to Duke at home?
3) what happened to Brian Kelly this year at ND? Same staff, very different results.
4) How is Stoops and Oklahoma down?
5) How is UCF going to BCS game. Same coach, they clearly have upgraded talent.
6)Why is Boise State not relevant right now? Peterson still there/ same D coot since 2010.
7) How does floridas defense take a huge step back after losing 1, I repeat 1 guy. DT's are important.
8) How is Georgia not ranked. Same coach. Lost some key TALENTED players.
9) Stanford is doing exactly what they were doing when harbaugh was there. Different coach same results. How?
10) How about FIU? What happened? Cristobalite had then rolling. Lost a talented TY Hilton and boom. Fired.


These are just many examples. Coaching matters, of course. But talent is even more important. I think Al is good enough and smart enough to put together a program to get players fit and mentally ready for championship caliber years. It just takes a combination of really good players.

Mr. Golen's decision about his defense is a crossroads. He can grow into a big time coach here if he chooses.....dude recruits his *** off......but will he stubbornly hold on to a process that is flawed....deeply flawed?

U kidding, Curtis porter should have 75 TFl and aqm should have 35 sacks by now. Smh

In his first season as the starting quarterback, Golson accomplished much for coach Kelly's talented unit. He was 187-of-318 passing the football for 2,405 yards with 12 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and a pass efficiency rating 131.8. Golson also rushed for 299 yards and 6 touchdowns on 94 carries.

Bet he could run for a first down with the game on the line on 3rd and 4 instead of stepping out of bounds.

This post missed the point. So you are saying Duke has more offensive talent then we have defensive talent? LOL

Of course you need elite talent and we aren't there yet but our talent level is definitely better than what we have shown on defense under Golden and Coach D.

Was there any difference in talent between the Canes' D that beat the gators, which caused five turnovers and got to the QB, and the atrocity we've watched the past 3 weeks? A lot more can be done with the talent on this roster.

1) Great talent + great staff BEHIND "The Clapper"
2) Duke has a decent squad that plays a ton more aggressive then this gobbich. Kept pressure on Logan to keep him off balance, instead of having our 4 DE's hug their O Line and let him fall forward for ****** 8 yard gains.
3) **** ND
4) Teams have had 10 years to gameplan against Stoops overrated ***.
5) Storm Johnson & better level of athlete staying close to home.
6) QB play
7) Cause their putrid offense keeps them in ****** situations!
8) Cause UGA is the most overrated team in the country.
9) They have one less loss than we do. A great defensive scheme trumped their old school ground and pound game plan.
10) We really talkin about FIU? Who gives a **** about conference USA?

FSU, Florida, USF and UCF are ranked better than us in total Defense. Hate to break the news but that's not because of talent.
 
It's coaching, top to bottom. Evidently, nobody is impressed with Golden saving a program that was at rock bottom and under a NCAA death sentence.


This board flew a thanks Golden banner when the sanctions were announced. Yet nobody offered these clowns a job at any level.
