Help this team. This Miami Hurricanes team has given so much to this city for so long. They are the reason why inner city youths get a fair shake in today's era of college footbal. Before the Miami Hurricanes, it was who you knew and how much money your family had. Rich kids got to play football at Notre Dame and Oklahoma. We were mocked. They called us thug...but they were really saying the N word. To them, a thug was any black kid who was trying to make something of himself by playing a sport he loved and was passionate about. They called us thugs because our teams were filled with kids who were less fortunate and sometimes couldn't even afford a brand new pair of shoes or a **** bookbag for school.

They still mock us. They still call us Thugs aka ni**ers. They want this program to fail bcuz of it does, the rich hicks up in the SEC benefit and will make promises to our kids in South Florida that they never intend to keep. They weren't there when you were playing Optimist. They weren't there when you scored your first TD in front of your family. They weren't there when the community, your community, cheered for you.

They were in Tallahasee.

They were in Gainesville.

They were in Alabama

They were in Louisianna.

They were in Georgia.

They didn't care who you were. They don't even care who you are. All they care is that some dumb "Ni**er" scored a TD. Meanwhile, here we are cheering for our kids to stay home. We need you. This team needs you. This community needs you. Once a Cane always a Cane. Just ask the players in the NFL if they aren't beloved by their Cane fans. You become family.

The U needs you now. The U is the reason you have a chance now. If you say you're from Miami, you go to Miami.

I have wondered the same thing but they get money and are treated like superstars on campus and among the communities. Something a big city cant give

Well said. U must have just watched "The U". But it's not 1985 anymore. Kids wanna go where they can play in front of packed stadiums, on national TV(ESPNU doesn't count), for national championships & draft status. Btw why should a kid be loyal to Miami when the city can't show up to support him.

If recruits stay in Miami for college. Team gets better; more televised games; more championships; packed stadium. Its not hard to figure out. But recruits got to rep where there from for that to happen.

Lebron taking his talents to South Beach takes away some of the juice from UM. Heck even the Marlins were helping UM out by trading away their franchise player.

I agree. In general, kids in society are more coddled and pampered. You'll get your tough minded, grind out kids, but the former is the majority here. Kids for some reason need to feel loved and showered like stars. Why? Because the Internet and social media make that platform so enticing. Kids are less hungry nowadays and are looking to take the shortest route to success. For every Ed Reed there are 5 Storm Johnsons.

Ringz who is "they" ( are you referring to Caucasians?)

Last time I checked a large percentage of UM fans are from Cuban descent and I don't know if you have any Cuban friends ( and as person with Cuban parents i am speaking from experience) we are some racist *** mofos. Stop playing the race card son.

Ringz...your post is so ****ed up on many levels.

Basically, you are begging recruits to come to Miami because this is where "the n*ggas" play to be appreciated.

Fantastic recruiting approach, bro.
