If Williams is expected back by the Nebraska game, why didn't the coaching staff suspend Olsen for the Fl A&M game instead of Louisville..
Surely this would have helped in the Kaaya redshirt decision... Is the answer poor player management?
Are we the only team in Div 1 who carries eight qb's on the roster and have this problem..Coach recruited them so they all must be playable, even the walk-on..

Because that's a crappy way to manage player suspensions? You're gonna let him play in a big game then suspend him verses Florida A&M? Would anybody take you seriously after that? That's an Urban Meyer move.

Exactly. The only way to properly "weasel out" of these kind of situations is to schedule the cupcakes for the first couple of games, so when you have the offseason issues you still handle it the right way by suspending them at the beginning of the season. Or you can be like Urban Meyer and say they don't deserve to be suspended.

If there is an off season indiscretion and suspension is warranted, isn't it typical ( unless your Jumbo) to suspend the player for the next game? (Obviously making it the first game)

If the staff wasn't going to give Kaaya an honest go, why wouldn't they have had Heaps and Crow battle for the first game while giving Williams time to heal his knee and Olsen his head, and red shirting Kaaya and Rosier from the onset.

I've seen many comments close to this one. Where does the idea come from that the staff was never giving Kaaya a real shot? Many media members, coaches, and players have said Heaps has been very good in camp and the two have been neck and neck. Isn't it possible that Kaaya had a real shot but Heaps experience allows him to read a defense quicker and play more consistently?

Can you please stop with the red shirt post about Kaaya. If he is that good, why red shirt him as he gone in three years anyway. Guarantee he is not red shirted

Because Kaaya is clearly ahead of Olsen. If Heaps gets hurt in the Louisville game, we want to put in the QB who gives us the best chance to win.

At the thought of anything this man does as bad. Urban is exactly the type of coach this program needs.

Completely disagree. Over 40 something arrests in four years? Winning can be done without that.

No it isn't.

Urban gets results. What has Gluten done so far?

In Urban's second season at UF, he won the National Title and developed a lot of NFL talent.

Gluten has managed to get blown out in every big game with the exception of UF 2013 he has corched in.

I'll take an Urban Meyer lite over Gluten any day.
