If we shock the world and win 10 games...

Yes it would be. This team is only getting better and we are young. 10 wins leads to a good 2-3 year stretch of double digit wins and a title.

Not necessarily. What it would do is be a HUGE boon to the staffs already impressive recruiting work, but until we get these **** NCAA sanctions out the way, we're still operating in the dark.

But 10 wins with a heavily freshmen populated team would signal to recruits, both locally and nationally that we're on the rise.

a BCS championship is imminent the chosen one has almost arrived

Interesting question, but my thought was..... If we win 10 games, do we take another self imposed bowl ban.... ****, if we win 9 games, do we take the ban.....

Considering the future, or the prospect of a MNC run the following season????

Could be a gift and a curse, if we win 10 too soon the program will start to lose coaches like Fisch.

If we shock the world and win 10 games...

99% of the "world" would neither know nor care.

My standards may have dropped but I think that a BC win would shock the world. Yes, I will be there. And yes, I will storm the field if we win.

While not likely, winning 10 games is certainly within the realm of possibility. There is no game on our schedule that isn't winnable.

IF by some good fortune we were to win 10 games, then yes I think we could safely say that a MNC is imminent. With all of the negative swirling about this program for so long, and after an offseason of attrition that just didn't make sense, if we were to win 10 with a team so full of youngsters that would be quite the accomplishment. If that happens, we will be in the 'ship discussion sooner rather than later.

Problem is I doubt we'll win 10. I hope I'm wrong. I see us winning 8 but I like the positivity i' m seeing. I think we'll know what this team is truly capable of after the first two road games.

If we win 10 games we will hear nothing but hate and how we should be stripped of our wins due to Shapirogate and because we're thugs and such.

We should go to the bowl game as a reward to the kids. No guarantee the next year will have the same results and be invited to a decent bowl. Take them while you can.

+1

I see 8 wins also and that would be great. 9 or 10 would obviously be even better and would intensify the momentum. More recruits waiting to see where UM is headed should be more anxious to grab the few remaining scholarships for 2013 and they would be clamoring to get in the 2014 class.

Even with 9 or 10 wins you take the bowl ban this year. 10 wins doesn't put you in the NC game most likely, but you have a much better shot in 2013 and beyond. Easier schedule in 2013, few impact Srs on the team this year that will be departing, 1 more year of experience for this young team, and higher pre-season ranking creates a greater chance of being near the top at season's end.
