yards.

I am interested to see if Golden and Dnofrio will grow a pair on defense and put 9 guys in the box and play man on their WR's. I sense they have zero confidence in our secondary and think guys will just fly down the field on go routes.

Kacy Rodgers and Vaughn Telemaque and the worst tackling safeties I have ever seen. It is going to be a huge problem in this game. Klein is going to run over these dudes. This is the one game we will miss Ray Ray.

We traditionally destroyed offensive systems like K State has.

K State is as one dimensional as it gets. Stop Hubert and Klein by stacking box and wrapping up. Hopefully we have a game plan and don't stick to the base D.

Klein really isn't very good at throwing downfield. He is careful as a QB and would rather run the ball. He only threw 6 picks last year so we can't rely on him to make mistakes.

He has to prove he can beat us deep IMO.

All said and done, we could load the box with 11 and he would still probably get 150 yds on the ground.

Depends how their line handles us. They are big but inexperienced, a lot like our defensive line.

I wouldn't even be opposed to kicking a safety off the field, bringing in a linebacker, and playing a 4-4 with 1 safety over the top.

Let Tracy Howard and McGee get first crack and locking down their guys.

Gotta attack this offense.

Cant go sideways. Get after the QB all day.

Seriously. Can't hold anything back, can't wait for reads - gotta attack on defense. Attack hard, every play.

If are going to beat these guys, we absolutely have to be an offensive defense.

We looked good against the run last week. Guys like Luther & Pierre were in the backfield quite a few times... they just missed the tackles.
DP, Gaines, Eddie, & Buchanon are all pretty good against the run.

Shuffle-uffagus offense is one of the cheesiest offenses I've ever seen in CFB lol

I think that we will be pretty tough against the run. One thing I remember against K. State last year was the pile getting pushed for an extra couple of yards on almost every one of their running plays. I will be anxious to see if we can stop that.

The run defense was one area I wasn't concerned after last week. Biggest issue Kansas St. gives us is their read option and scrambling QB, he torched us last year.

One problem we have with the Safeties is they love to jump on the play action allowing receivers to get behind them. VT did it three times in the BC game that I counted. We simply can not have this.

If we sit in the zone tomorrow, their TE will have 150 yards receiving.

They can't beat us with Klein just running the ball. My guess is they throw the ball around tomorrow. Will be a long day on defense if we don't get pressure and good play from the Safeties.

Not to be negative, but I really don't see Miami winning this game at all. Nothing the defense did last week points to them being able to contain K St. enough for the offense to out score them.
Even the BC game they started looking very suspect again in the last 7 minutes. The goal line stand was nice to see, but they still moved down the field.
Now with one less body at DT...

what is a 4-3 zone?? we can't play any zone tomorrow? why not? are you suggesting that we play 1 or 0 all game??

What defense stops the type of offense K-state likes to run. Which players should be our force players tomorrow? the corners or the safeties? How does going to man further help the d stuff the run?

I think I would let the coaches coach. Just sayin.

Every game is different. We should not look at what BC did (one game) and feel strongly about what Kstate is going to do. They run a completely different scheme that may or may not be easier for us to defend.

I still do not know enough about what we can do to predict what will happen tomorrow.

I don't know, man... a base 4-3 with speed is built to shut down the option, even the shuffleufagus brand. A few big if's, but

IF we get decent penetration
IF we keep discipline
and of course IF we tackle

There's no reason why we can't hold them to say 21pts. Klein is a tough SOB that makes good decisions. He and the TEs will get their yards. We just have to keep Hubert from busting loose and not make any mistakes on special teams.

A guy like Chick has a real opportunity to make huge plays against read option, imo. Blow 'em up in the exchange and who knows what can happen.

/On the other hand, I don't trust our safeties, so 8 in the box scares me.

I like what I saw out of Bush in terms of tackling vs BC, he already may be our best tackling safety
