Gerald is still a chance at DE as well. And I know they want to get at least one more offensive lineman.

Willis isn’t playing d end, hasn’t been playing d end, and won’t be playing d end.
I understand people will be upset we lost on a couple key guys, but I’d say we filled a lot of needs, especially at dt.

i would need DE- Gerald and a possible grad transfer as a dt stopgap if possible and i'd be cool. I think Briggs and Chatman both need shirts or one of the 2. A grad transfer 1 tech would be fine with me...And i'd feel good with it.

All this is based off the fact that your counting on Gerald Willis. Hes a livewire kid, not sure if he is someone i put faith in to line up 9 mnths from now..from school grades issue or off the field stuff man.

not the recruits fault either.

these boys see people they grew up admiring in south florida going to UGA and bama and balling out, they want to be like them.

that is slowly changing as we are getting some ELITE talent coming in.

Our class will be top 5 this year after the finish, the tide is shifting with a VERY strong 19 and 20 class coming in. Sony Michel was lost to UGA and richt, same story over and over but it's happening less and less. Tyson is gone and that blows but it's clear this staff doesn't let people come in and take it without a fight

Grad transfer 1 techs basically don't exist. They'd go to the NFL before playing a 5th year.

You'd love solid players at every position, but at the end of the day, you MUST own the trenches and if we finish with this proposed haul, it will matter less that we missed out on some 5 star CB's this year. The Cane 89' D was possibly our best ever, but was primarily known for having not one but two future all pros at DT.

Bottomline, if we can lock down DL talent and give them to Kool for training, we are going to be okie Dokie on D. A great DL can make good DB's look great!
