If K State beats Texas?

The talking heads already predicted that Texas will lose to OU they said Mack will "Retire" after the OU loss.

i dont see any way Mack Brown gets fired mid-season. The administration will allow him to resign after the season, which is the right way to do it. That gives them the rest of the season to sweep the market place.

If Mack Brown leaves/resigns/is fired y'all see them prying Satan away from Bama, Muschimp from Swamp-*** or someone else. (I refuse to entertain the though the Don leaves us for anyone)

I highly doubt Texas will hire Muschump....he hasn't yet proven himself as a consistent reliable commodity as a head coach. I personally think Muschamp will be fired at Florida by the 2015 season

The Saban argument is played out. Dude makes $5 mill a year now. If Tejas offers $8 mill, I would expect Bama to match.

I dont see Muschamp being in that high of demand. Truth be told Im thinking Golden or someone like Chris Peterson. Might be a good time for Peterson to leave BoySee State.

Given that so many texas high school programs have gone to spread offenses, I could see him having his pick of the offensive litter in that state, recruiting-wise.

I could also see a big name come out da woodwerkz. Someone like a Bill Cowher.

No chance UT fires Mack during the season. I don't care if they lose every game. Ain't happening. You might as well, however, get ready to deal with the Al Golden rumors. He will be at the top of UT's list. Not saying he'll leave or even interview, but Al will be on UT's short list at the end of the season.

Texas is one of the only colleges that worry me regarding Golden, they have DEEP POCKETS. I know Al loves it here, but he has to do what's best for his family and if Texas offers $5 mil a year, not sure we could match that.

I don't think Texas wants to eat the remainder of Brown's contract.
Guy makes 8 mill a year.

I heard some talking heads mentioning Gruden, and that makes a lot of sense.
Super Bowl winning coach who is disgruntled with the NFL.

He last's just cause it's Mack Brown, be he'll be told "politely" thanks but no thanks for next season and retire.

Gruden will be incredibly hard to bag.

I suspect he's loving life right now - making a lot of money with very little pressure (Monday Night Football) and his reputation is increasing year on year. Most like him in that role.

Why would he trade the easy life for the pressure cooker that is Texas?
