Teams will always recruit South Florida hard, but once we get over the hump (underachieving, sanctions, etc...) I think fewer top-tier guys will get away.

Even "second tier" talent in the bottom three counties is good enough to make your roster better, especially places like West Virginia, Ole Miss, Wake Forest etc. Quite frankly, if I am a head coach at any southeastern or east coast school, I camp out in South Florida just for the crumbs and hope for the big hit every now and then. Without South Florida talent on the WVU roster, they are literally a 3 win team.

They'll keep recruiting, but they'll first give Al Golden a call and ask him who he's NOT recruiting.

As the world becomes more globalized, recruiting has become more national. Its not a big deal to go away to school anymore. ****, there are a number of daily direct non-stops from FLL to SFO for instance. Add in the insane resources and budgets the big schools now have, be rest assured, SFL will be under siege for all eternity. Its our staff's job to win those battles.
