Id take Miami's current recruiting class over UGa's easily

Would you trade DJ Ivey and Al Blades for another highly rated OLineman and DTackle? I wouldn't, I think our talent is more concentrated to one area. Their talent is more diverse.

Thats not the question though..........u take all and thats what UGA is doing. There not missing and substituting a plan B, there getting all there plan A's, I hate that kind of thinking. Well if we lose Jobe we will replace him with Tyson (Tyson was coming anyway) u want to win u clean up, replacements r guys u really didnt want

Man, ain’t gone even lie, I’d take their class in the trenches over ours right now. Everywhere else ours is better.

But if the choice was one class or the other you would take Miami's class overall even though UGa has better talent in the trenches.

That's my point.... but Nesta is the reason I don't agree. Hes going to destroy any olineman in front of him.

Im sorry I like nesta alot but u mean to tell me hes going to bullrush everyone in college? That **** wont work ask Forston, and u need more then one guy at DT unless this kids Warren Sapp

In the theoretical world where Miami traded classes with University of Georgia man for man, Miami would come out way ahead.

One reason: offensive line AND defensive line. UGA: 5 OL, 2 DE, DT; Miami: 3 OL, 1 DE.

6 of their 8 guys would theoretically start next year for Miami where only maybe 2 of Miami’s 4 signees will start for Miami.

Every one of your post in this thread make no sense

That’s because it’s rational, and you admittedly live in Krazy world.

1. Miami would come out on the winning end of the theoretical trade between classes.
2. Reason: UGA OL/DL would make an immediate impact at Miami, yet the reverse wouldn’t be true.
3. That’s it, simple enough...for most.

On the dline they would? Who are they playing over?.....
None of those dends are playing over joe jack or Garvin that’s for sure
Oline Yeah a few for sure will get playing time. I mean ours will too since we loosing 2 starters
Brock, there is always the possibility that Reed, Scaife and Campbell are better than Salyer, Mays and Hill but no one would stake their career to that contention at this time (and they signed an additional 4* and a 3*). I’ll even stipulate that Nesta, who is unsigned, is probably one of the, if not the, best DT in the country. But they signed a 6’3”, 300 and have a 6’6”, 330 and a 6’4” 270 committed. Miami has zero signed and one committed. We’re talking about at this time - which means no Nesta…their class at.this.time meets Miami’s immediate needs better than Miami’s class which I would be the first to say is exceptional. Yes, Miami needs a DB upgrade, but not as much as DT with Norton and McIntosh pretty much out the door.

I love Miami’s class, but until Nesta is signed the biggest piece is missing.

Nesta is more important than Campbell, imo. Way more.

All this hype about their recruiting class being one of the best all time?? Where?

Miami is loaded with better dbs, better rbs, equally talented qb, better wrs, all time TE duo, #1 FB, elite olineman, beast DT, athletes, playmakers all over.

Fck y'all want??.. I'm not trading this squad over any single fckn player committed to another team.

Recruiting rankings so fake, this class is the clear #1 .

Thank you Coach Richt and staff!!! :U5PyXda:

I believe south Florida talent is always under rated, so I tend to ignore rankings. I love our class. Now, it can get better with a strong close.

I would think that except I remember the great Georgia-Florida All-Star games that took place in the '80's. That was before you had the big national games like the U.S. Army and the Underwear games. Back then, there were some classic matchups like the grandaddy of them all, the Big 33 that was played every year in Hershey, PA. There were years when the Pennsylvania All-Stars played Ohio, or Texas or somebody else. In that era, Pennslyvania was one of the very top states for high school football. So were Ohio and Texas. The best HS players in the country played in the Big 33. (Florida was nothing then.) As the south took over the best football, the Florida-Georgia games were fantastic. I remember so many great players, including Warren Sapp, Charlie Ward, Lamar Thomas, and so many others.

For a while, the Florida-Georgia All-Star game was probably the best HS all-star game in the country. The Georgia teams were competitive with the Florida teams, sometimes they won. It told me the best 30-40 players in Georgia were just as good as the best 30-40 in Florida.

I used to get tapes of a lot of the games. I used to have a Texas all-star game tape. I think it was east Texas versus west Texas. On the very first play, RB Martin Patton for one team was tackled by a LB for the other team, Jessie Armstead. You might remember both names.

I don't think they play that Florida-Georgia game anymore. It probably died when the national games came into prominence, perhaps in the late '90's, early 2000's.

One thing about Georgia recruiting. There is really no instate recruiting competition except for Georgia Tech. Competing with Georgia Tech is not like us having to compete with FSU and UF. Soon we might have to compete with other schools, maybe UCF or USF. I don't know about FAU or FIU, but I'm amazed at how good other teams are getting. Georgia's main competition is probably out-of-state, including Auburn, Alabama, Clemson. We have to compete with those teams as well as FSU and UF.

So, the talent in Georgia is pretty **** good. I could see that in the old FLA-GA all-star games I used to watch.

No instate competition. But FSU, UF, Bama, etc are all closer to Atlanta than they are to Miami. Why does it really matter where the state line is?

lets see as of right now:

QB - UGA. Sorry but yall trippin if you think Jarren Williams is as good as Fields.

RB - Miami. Lingard is better than White (though they're both ballers). I'm not the biggest Cam Davis fan, but I think he's also better than Cook.

WR - Miami. Think UGA has like 1 WR commit. So this is an easy win for us.

TE - Miami. I think we have the top 2 TE's in the nation. UGA has Luke Ford whos really good too, so they have a great TE class too. Ours is just the Best.

OL - UGA. This isn't really close. They have the #2 OT, and the #1 and #2 OG in this class according to 247. Personally I think Scaife is ****ing legit, and a top 5 OG in the country. But UGA just has probably the best OL class in the nation, while we have just a solid OL class, nothing spectacular.

DL - UGA. This is mostly due to the numbers. I don't think their DT commits are all that great. I think Nesta is easily better than all 3 of them. But thats the uneven part. We have 1 DT commit and they have 3 right now, so they should get the edge there because I honestly have no idea how our DT class will fill out. I think we have a real good chance of having a better DT class than them. As far as DE, Cox is a beast, but I think with Kul, Rousseau might be better. However UGA runs more of a 34 look so their OLBs are pass rushers too, and they have Adam Anderson who is a beast. And since UGA runs the 34 Im counting Anderson as an EDGE guy not a LB.

LB - UGA. Tindall vs Joyner. I think Joyner could be a beast for us, but I think Tindall is like a top 5 LB in the nation.

DB - Miami. Nadab Joseph and Divaad Wilson are beasts. And in any other year they'd be the best DBs in South Florida. But we have a better CB and Safety class than UGA does right now. HOWEVER, by NSD, this could easily change if Tyson Campbell chooses them over us. Campbell is really that great of a prospect that he can put UGA's DB class above ours. But if we get TC, then we easily have the better class.

Divad could still end up with the hick school, Tyson will stay and come to the U Surtain still up in air too.

Fields is the best qb in the country but Jarren Williams ain’t no slouch in fact he outperformed Trevor Lawrence by far when they were on the same team. He also put up ridiculous numbers against legit competition too

What does Jarren outperforming Lawerence, a Clemson commit, have to do with giving UGA the edge?

What does taron Vincent do?

Silvera thoroughly out performed him during the season

Silvera 30tfls 14 sacks
Vincent 12 tfls 4sacks

Silvera doesn’t just use a bull rush

People often compare fields and lawrence so that fact that he outperformed him at the opening says he’s a real talent as well but we knew that. Jarren Williams ain’t no slouch is what I’m saying

UGA's OL and DL is extremely better... Anyone think otherwise is doing too much drugs!

Miami is Class will be better at multiple spots than Georgia class (db, tight end, receiver ,like lingard Better than zamir white) but what they are doing in the trenches is really impressive

People got to remember you are never going to see many 5star dlineman or olineman in South Florida whereas they constantly rate georgia or the states around it ol or dline 5stars. It’s just one of those years where the state is stacked with talent on the line of scrimmage and elite QBs and they capitalized. Important but even though richt didn’t win a ring at Georgia those kids growing up still thought very highly of the Georgia program as they were a perennial top 10 team yearly so they always had that affinity for the bulldogs and outside of a few of their top targets they tend to stay home a lot more often than the recruits in Florida.

When did I say Miami’s class was better at those positions?

You win up front. Omnibus paribus I'd take the 5 star DTs and OTs with second rate DB, WR, RB over top flight RB, WR, DB, and second rate line. Is what it is but UGA's going off on the trenches

That's what I'm ****ed about. I like our class.... But we really need is some bullies up front.... Maybe our oline may turn out to be what we need... But uga got some beasts in the trenches

I was speaking comparatively. Of course you take all the top level talent that you can. It appears that the staff was playing a numbers game. If they would have focused on bringing in 4-5 DLinemen I think we would have seen a class similar to UGA. But the focus was on DBs this round so that’s what we got.
