I saw Corn Elder out there on defense

Everybody talks about Burns, and rightfully so. But Elder is a future star at corner. Based on what I've heard about him in practice, people need to start getting really excited about him.

I think Safety is a tougher position for a Freshman. Freshman CB's, we can just play man when they are in, and its not a huge adjustment for them other than talent level. Safety has bigger mistakes to make. Look at Reyshawn Jenkins last year. He looked like a really promising athlete but made 2 crucial mistakes against Duke that cost you games against teams of comparable ability. They are doing what they should, trying to get him some special teams burn and letting him grow in practice. Just because we've been so thin for years, we've seen a lot of freshman play, but I think in JC's case, it says more about the guys in front of him than anything.

The run I saw Elder get earlier this year made me very excited, indeed.

Dude looked Roscoe-Quick.

Like Elder getting some burn, we have some really good young talent at CB, we need a little more depth at S.
