I don't understand this aspect of our recruiting

So in the midst of our four game swoon in October, Pete jumps in and excites the board with the news seemingly out of left field that Slaton and Herbert are favoring the Canes and Telfort may be a strong possibility also. Then news breaks that Holloman is a Cane lean and the news on Devonta Smith is generally feel good as well. We also were in the drivers seat for McFarland during that time frame also. All this positive news coming during a disatorous month where we were all ready to take turns kicking Richt in the nuts.

Then we go on a three-game winning streak and build some positive momentum for the close of the season and the recruiting buzz is probably as negative as it has been since we hired Richt. Rumors of Donaldson looking around and decomitting, Slaton and the others Pete got us excited for don't know we exist, DJ totally forgetting that he and Spielberg collaborated on a video where he picked a UM hat and committed to us, Dingle is possibly being ignored, and of course the ****show that is our DB recruiting.

My question is...wtf am I missing here?

Somebody must be new to crootin

Calm down...Slaton left us out of his OV list...not his top 5, he did that because he's seen the stadium and campus numerous of times and tbh I don't think he would've committed here anyways. Devonta and Jeremiah are still high on us and we're still in the drivers seat for McFarland. CB was an issue you could've seen coming even before October, only difference was Henderson officially decommitted.

I guess what I should've asked was simply...does anyone think Pete was trying to quell the masses?

Most here had their pitchforks ready and were drawing up the plans to burn down the football offices but Pete came in like Captain save a hoe and tried to distract the board by running some misdirection in the form of positive recruiting news.

You're new to this game. Once it's Bowl season recruits visit tteams who are preparing for the bowls and see them practice frequently and between how active they are at the practices and talking to reporters we may have new updates everyday on commits and guys who we're in the running for. This time next week you'll start getting your fix

**** bra, drink some gin and juice. Crootin is a nasty business. Worse that women. Don't think Richt doesn't have it under control. I bet we have several kids on tap but it's just not public. It was like that at UGA all,the time. If guys are committed elsewhere but are talking to Miami and really listening, they may not want it public. Richt ain't no fool. Sure some kids will burn us. But overall I I think Richt has it under control. We could be like Tenn and take every freaking 3 star that has a ****er and think we are great cause of the number of crooks we have.

Never get high on your own supply.

You guys can clown the OP all you want but he does bring up a good point. We were in a 4 game losing streak,it looked like we might lose every remaining game and we get the most optimistic recruiting update since the Mike Bakas days over decade ago,now we have won 3 in a row and there's nothing to report on those recruits. If things don't workout for pete in journalism he can definitely give fireman a shot.

Disclosure of recruiting nuggets lags real time. You will never know the latest.

Just sit tight, kick back and enjoy the roller coaster ride.

Never get high on your own supply.

This is a free website. We're not the consumer, we're the product. High school players who are looking for good PR and exposure are the real clientele.

The $ being thrown around by boosters must be off the charts.

The NCAA has shown a complete unwillingness to investigate and/or competently prosecute this behavior.

The entire process sux.........I think under this staff, we will see a different type of NSD.

Beat Duke and win our bowl and that is a successful year one and a nice foundation to build on.

We have professional coaches in place and a more supportive administration.

Best time to be a CANE in 10+ years!
