old video, but I've watched this at least 30 times and it doesn't get old...

Deon got 7 offers the same week this video came out.

And that move that Coley puts on at 2:15 Tracy is lethal

I still really like Bush at CB....i just wish we had some depth at safety so he didn't have to play there.

I thought Leggett had the best technique of all the guys. I would have loved to see what he could have done here.

Not gonna lie, I puked a little in my mouth when I saw Leggett's name, and then seeing him ball out (again) just made it worse.

So riddle me this...why in the world was TH ranked so high? No disrespect to him, but the moment I saw this video I said Deon and AJ were better. Where did Tracy develop this reputation?

You know this was just one 7 on 7 video right?

That's fine, but you can see things from Deon that would make him a more attractive prospect than Tracy right off the bat. The size, the length, the strength, the speed. Fluid in the hips. I mean those things you can see in a 7 on 7. I didn't see anything from Tracy that suggested that he was demonstrably better than AJ or Deon, if it all.

BTW 7 on 7 in the summer is how most of these guys develop their reputations. Most of these guys get their high rankings because they play well in shorts.

I saw Tracy play live a few times last year. Nobody challenged him, he was great in run support, physical with receivers on the los and had lots of leadership skills on the field.....in pads. Of course Deon and AJ were great too and their rankings showed that. All 3 kids were top db's in the country with huge upsides. Deon has showed that as a true freshman starter, playing out of position. Who will be the best out of the 3 when all is said and done is anyones guess.....but don't sleep on Tracy.

I'm having the strangest kind of deja vu now. This was an argument that was ongoing for the entire summer last year, with people (including myself) questioning Tracy Howard based on a handful of clips from camps and combines. Then the season started and Tracy was a legit lockdown corner that was also great against the run and had several INTs. His teammates in the defensive backfield racked up even more INTs because teams rarely threw to Tracy. Meanwhile Deon Bush made very few plays on the field as was the case for his entire high school career, leading to a lot of questions about his ability, and some schools backed off as well. Tracy was also much more impressive at the AAA game.

Fast forward to now and we're seeing that Deon's physical ability has him ahead of the curve as a freshman, while Tracy's lack of size can't be masked. Deon can get away with a lot of mistakes and missteps because he's such a freak athlete, but Tracy has to play almost perfect football to be in position to defend passes against bigger receivers. I still think Tracy will have a better college career when it's all said and done because of his intangibles and cover skills, but Deon has unlimited upside.
