I am a true Miami guy, I was born in Miami in 82, and went to Miami Central High School when Willis McGahee played there. Although I no longer live in Miami, I still buy 20 tickets for every home game to give to the kids from my old neighborhood (Robin Hood to be exact). I remember the days when defense at Miami dominating, fearless, and reckless. That style of play is what made me fall in love with The U. Now I feel like everything that I grew up loving will never bee seen again.

I am a total realist so in no way did expect this team to go undefeated. With that being said, I fully expected some issues on the offensive side of the ball with Coley being a first year play caller. What I did not expect was to see zero improvement from the defensive coaching. I can live with a guy being in position and not making the play, but when no one is there to make the play at all that is called bad coaching.

I understand that several guys who are playing significant minutes on defense simply lack talent (Highsmith, Gaines, Rodgers, Robinson, Green, Cornileus), but regardless of talent level a coach should put guys in a position to make plays. No D showed last nigh that he is simply not capable of being a good defensive coordinator. For 3 years now he his scheme has allowed some of the worst QB's in college look like Peyton Manning and I just do not see it changing as long as he is here.

I will be a cane for life but I will never support No D!

Im right there with you. I have always been a believer in the saying, "Defense wins championships". This is clearly not a defense that will get there. There must be a change in something, to get us where we need to be.

The U that I grew up loving died in 2005. I have lowered my expectations now and am much happier. I will be at the Duke game and will storm the field if we win.
