Do we still s!@# the bed against VT and/or Duke?

Do we lose to FSU twice?

Do we play in a much better bowl game?

My thoughts: I think the second half of UNC allowed us to develop our offensive identity - a ground and pound team with the occassional home run. Even though we seemed to abandon that game plan during the first half of Wake, Duke comes back and absolutely annhilates WF single-handidly. We were clearly outmatched by FSU, and when Duke went down, opposing teams were able to key in on Dallas. At that point, Coley and Hurns really stepped up to the plate, and SM17 finally got healthy. If Duke wasn't injured, I think we would've dropped 50 on our last 4 opponents and finished the regular season with 1 loss. However, even though we would have played FSU harder the second go around, I don't think we would have had the depth to outlast them for 4 quarters.

Peach Bowl.

(I get that injuries are a part of the game, along with depth, but just thought it would be fun playing this game - I would have been happy winning the coastal, even though I thought a second loss vs. FSU was likely [ew] - Overall, I'm disappointed with the results of this year, but I acknowledge losing Duke changed my expectations a bit. I still think a win over Louisville and a 10 win season would be a successful season)

With Duke healthy and not only at running back but also at KR with Coley there is no way we lose to both Duke and Va Tech and we have at least 10 wins and are probably in the Chick Filet or peach bowl.

Duke probably would have run for 300 against Duke all by himself and we might have been able to control the clock a little more since we abandoned the run in spite of the fact that we were gashing them (186 yards on only 29 carries). We couldn't stop them, but for whatever reason, even when the game was close, Coley kept having Morris sling it around. I wonder (hope) with Duke healthy, if we would have run it more, and by running it more, controlled more of the clock or at least scored more in the second half, and maybe won 45-40 or something like that, instead of losing 48-30. Who knows about VT. You could make the argument that we wouldn't have had the miscues on special teams, but the defense still wasn't stopping anyone, and I don't think Duke was going to run against VT anyway.

The 2 bowls you spoke of are one in the same, not 2 different bowls....

1. We would've scored 24 vs FSU..........still lose
2. Would NOT have lost to VT
3. Would not have lost to Duke
4. Would have still lost to FSU again but closer than the 1st game

We win at least once more and FSU would have beat us again and we'd be getting ready to play Johnny Football

Beat Duke, but the d was really bad vs VT, and FSU is still a loss IMO.
Would be in the Chik.

Golden fires Dorito last year brings in a innovative DC which can actually scheme to beat other teams with the talent that is on the sidelines... Wow, novel idea. Thing is neither happened.

We beat duke easily and win the coastal. Coley was breaking huge plays against duke until he got hurt early when it was 17 - 7 the good guys. Imo Duke Johnson would have had a field day on the blue devils. However, we ended up not having our game changers (Coley/Duke) available for most of that game.

I think we still lose the VT unless Duke playing would have shifted KR duties. It was all of those sudden change TO's back to back to back that changed the reflection of that game. IMO w/o those we would still beat VT w/o Duke and w/ our ****** D

so how is this thread working out for you....did we win those other two games....

If Duke is healthy we only lose to FSU and then again to FSU in the ACCCG. He is the heart of this team.
