what the **** does that mean? 11 instead of 12+1? it both sounds like he wants to add another II-A, and like he wants to remove the II-A.
 
Just means he doesn't see the point in the additional game they added to the schedule for most teams. Instead of an extra competitive game almost every fbs school added a lower fcs opponent (I.e. This year was savannah state)
 
They went from 11 games to 12 so the SEC could add another home game and get more $$. Plain and simple.
 
I agree w/ Al Goldens idea of only having 11 "meaningful" games..... b/c everyone is only trying to find the easiest team in the world to play the xtra 12th game anyway and it serves no purpose.

Listened to it earlier, Malcolm basically gushed over AQM. Something like next year kid is gonna be a problem, scratch that later this season once the lightbulb comes on.

Then Golden came on later and backed it up saying when he got here they gave him a weight goal and he crushed it and they had to give him a new one.

Between Golden and Donofrio today talking this kid up, then you have a opposite player gush unwarranted (this is a biggie for me, especially when its not Susan with a mic trying to force answers to write her stories) and talk highly of this kid. Means he is a hard worker and earned the respect of upperclassman. Looking forward to this kid developing.

Golden is right about having an 11 game season. The 12th game was added to delay having a playoff a little while longer. Then when playoff talks started you could only have 4 teams because there was a 12 game season? They should drop the 12th game and make it 11. Then the ACC championship game would make it 12. Then have an 8 team playoff which would have consisted of the The regular BCS bowls (Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Rose). The winners play in the semi finals and so on. The championship teams would play a fifteen game season and there would be no confusion who the number one team in the land was at the end of that season.

If the powers that be were at all competent they could have had an 8 team playoff and kept their BCS bowls and made more money in the process.

Fck anything that gives me less Canes games to watch. You guys are nuts if you want 11 games instead of 12. I don't care how "meaningful" it is. They're all very meaningful to me.

It was plenty fun watching us kick the crap out of Savannah St. I know it's not reality that we average 90 yds per kick return, but it was fun being reality for one day.

I agree. It was nice having a game that didn't give me bubble guts. College football season seems like it lasts about 40 minutes. It's here and then it's gone, so, like I said, fck anyone or anything that tries to shorten the season any more.
