Used to go to them quite often years ago, but they started really slacking with food and drinks. Anyone been to them over the past couple years? Thoughts?

As a Hurricane Club Member I go to one and only one every year. The reason for that is simple, to support the club and it's nice I take my daughter to it and she gets to take pictures with Sebastian and the cheerleaders while her dad is leering at the cheerleaders, ah she's so innocent, but anyways, the food is average, and in all honesty I prefer my own tailgate party, I throw a bad *** tailgate party with dj and booze and I grill up some fine cuisine. But again to each their own, if you want a quiet nice tailgate with fellow Hurricane Club members and Cane family, then by all means you will enjoy it. If you like to throw a typical UM tailgate college style raucus party of a tailgate with all your friends, then it's not for you.

kinda lame, atmosphere is tame of course. Not really worth the $ imo but the alumni parties on the road, are.

I concur. So we are all invited to your tailgate?......excellent.....:crownpour:

They used to do Hurricane Club tailgates for every game, which spread the budget pretty thin; may be the reason why food wasn't the greatest in the past. Last year though, they only did two tailgates and, as a result, the budget allowed for some pretty great food. This year, they'll be having 3 tailgates I believe and you should expect a similar quality to last year's, though their events planner only gets better with experience, so I'm sure the overall experience will be even better than last season's.

I wouldn't say it's a substitute for your own tailgate, but it's definitely a nice supplement.
