bs....that you thought he was going to rewrite the UM record book. Difference between thinking he was going to have a good year, and have a better year than Andre Johnson, Eddie Brown and Leonard Hankerson. And, you're just a basketball fan anyway. Should I add a a dumbass smiley so you know it's all in fun?

yea with wide open guys Morris still threw to Hurnsy in dbl coverage.....glad for hurns, he never *****ed or went down with an injury

Yeah his eyes were only locked onto hurns while waters/coley and warlord were running wide open all game..

Hurns was steady and reliable. Plus he catches all types of passes. HArd working kid that delivers on the field. He is what being a Cane is. Not just some weightroom king or practice field wonder. I hope he gets the record and plays on Sunday. I think NFL will grab him fairly early and with a good team. He is quality WR who is not a diva. And he did this in a year where QB was nowhere near in top form. Plus he is from my old hood -- CC. Go get em Hurnsy.

Morris seems to favor Hurns because he knows he's beyond reliable and will catch anything thrown his way...

Those coley drops and walford drops gotta play in your minds in crunch time

Not that it means anything and not all of the players before him have declared...CBS ranks him as the 43rd Best WR, 383 best player available and projects him to be undrafted. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/2014/WR

Wow. I can't believe there's 42 better receivers. I know he's not a 1st rd guy, but come on, 43??!! Really?!

I think that assumes a bunch of WRs with eligibility remaining declare for the draft. As of today, Hurns is 20th in the nation in receiving yards (http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/individual/455).

With Hurns, he can do two things (since he has the stats) but the second has a bigger impact on his draft stock:

1. Have a decent performance in the bowl game (i.e. 5 Rec. for 100 Yards and 1 TD (he averages 5 RPG, 95 YPG and .5 TDPG), and

2. Run a sub 4.55 on the 40 yard dash. IMO, this can only hurt him because the stats are there. The lower the better (duh), I truly think scouts will see the stats and take a gander but his 40 yard dash will have a MAJOR effect on his draft.

I don't think he will run sub 4.55 and it will be closer to a low 4.6.

Who has the original record? I'm sure whoever has it did it with 11 game +bowl game instead of the **** we have now

Hankerson in 2010 in 13 games. Andre Johnson also went over 1,000 yards in 13 games in '02 and Eddie Brown went over 1,000 in 12 games in '84 (we played in the Kickoff Classic, but they didn't count bowl games towards stats like they do today).

He is according to Fat Manny and Ugly Susan. My jimmies are now rustled.

@Manny_Navarro

#Canes WR Allen Hurns spotted in a walking boot at lunch. I'm told he practiced all week. Likely precautionary

@smillerdegnan

Precautionary or not, the idea of WR Allen Hurns in a boot right now is unsettling, to say the least, if you're a #UM #Canes fan.
