.. attend, for instance, Ohio St or Notre Dame in the playoffs on their National Championship run?
I have been to 5 Miami National Championship games but no way could I afford it if it was this way, with the playoffs, back in the day.
Think about it - 4 extra games, how do they allot tickets, travel expenses, etc… you are talking about thousands (tens of thousands?) of dollars plus the tine off of work, etc…. No?
What average fan has the capacity to do this?
They need to change the playoffs to be more like the NFL. Higher seed gets home field. Then people with season tickets can see the games, not have to travel thousands of miles, and the higher seed has a home field advantage Have the NC game at a neutral site - like the Super Bowl.
How much would it coast you and your family if Miami ever made a run?
I am thankful it was the way it was.
