Personally, I would say Chad Thomas, McDermott, Valentine, Darling, Griffin (if he gets in). Then, a couple of other guys on the bubble, Kaaya (for his position he's right there) and Berrios (I would take him over any slot guy), Yearby is right there too.

Griffin, Chad, Darling, Yearby, Valentine.

I was 50/50 on Kayaa and Berrios.

Thomas, Valentine, KC and Darling. JC would be one. A bunch including Yearby are on the bubble.

Yearby is most definitely elite.

Kid led Dade in rushing last 2 years right?

5 or 4 star RB depending in the service.

Chose Miami over FSU. He's elite with some of the best feet you'll see.

Chad, KC, Darling, Yearby, Valentine, Kaaya, and Powell IMO.

If Powell is elite at returning only, he can still be elite. If he moves to cb he can be elite there too with his quickness and burst and explosion. He was Broward POY.

Kaaya has offers from Miami, USC, UCLA, and Stanford.

That's elite for a QB, he was elite 11, and he led his team to a state title.

Thomas, Darling, McDermott, Yearby, Valentine, Powell, Hester. I really like Langham too, think he could develop into an elite WR.

Cook led dade and broward this year, with a hair under 2k yards as part time rb, also had 35 tds. Not sure who led last year. Yearby did have a monster sophmore season.

From what was posted on here, we have elite players, elite players at miami would be a luxury

There is potential for a handful of elite players in this class but can they be groomed over the next 3-4 years is the question. The jury is still out whether this staff is capable of that.

CaneCounty,
If you'd like a little perspective, take a look at our current roster and how they were recruited and rated when they were seniors in HS:

Metric
5-star = every major program went after him and continued to even after he committed
4-star = high end BCS offers (recruited by schools from all over)
3-star = mid level BCS offers (not a national recruit)
2-star = no other BCS offers

* Current commits in bold font

Yea we do need some more elite difference makers out there on the field. These past few years we only got a few with the whole NCAA thing going on and being down we got a few such a duke, Coley, flowers, guys like that just put a touchdown on the board by lining up. And defense we got a few like Bush, McCord, AQM, Howard, but that's only a handful and all underclassman. Everything takes time and this class does seem special with alot of big time Miami talents like yearby, Griffin, Chad, Valentine, Kc, kaaya, everything takes time you could tell our problem was depth this year starting out good and falling out late season and this class brings some more depth and talented depth

Everyone has the potential to be.....that's what is great about recruiting and the NFL draft. You just never know!

What service is that? Some of those star rankings seems low....I know Kaaya and Hester are 4star on ESPN, and I remember reading Djackson got a 4th star. Those are off the top of my head.

I say Cthomas, TValentine, DGriffin, JYearby are elite. Doesn't knock some of the other guys cuz we got some GREAT talent coming in if we can hold on to everyone. Those 4 guys will be in our two deep as soon as they step foot on Greentree.

I do think that DJackson and DOwens will end up being elite if developed right. But we all know how iffy our development program is at this point. Smh.

Yearby is most definitely elite.

That's elite for a QB, he was elite 11, and he led his team to a state title.

Size is what keeps Yearby a tad below the elite level. Still a great prospect though. Sometimes people get elite prospect and elite HS player confused. Charlie Jones also led Dade in rushing two years in a row, but he was just an average prospect. I did forget to mention Griffin if he qualifies. The rest of your post, you are kinda reaching there buddy. Both Kaaya and Powell are very very good but I just dont see elite whatsoever. Kaaya is closer to elite than Powell IMHO. And when I say that Kaaya and Powell arent elite I say that as prospects, they may very well end up elite players. Also dont confuse not being elite as not being worthy of playing and making an impact at the highest level. I just strongly feel the word elite is being thrown around too loosely here.....

Dont take this the wrong way but posts like this are exactly what leads to the crazy meltdowns on this board. Posters consistently overrate our players and then are dumbfounded when they cant reach the astronomical expectations we have set for them. For instance as of right now I only see 2 maybe 3 elite players on our team. Duke, Coley, and if you consider Flowers elite I wouldnt be mad at you. Earlier this year people were talking about Dorsett being elite and leaving early......

Big Al,
Those are scout.com rankings and it has not been updated in a few months. SO its not totally accurate but its a good starting point for the discussion as it relates to how our current roster was recruited.

Credit to Mike Bakas at scout.com for initially compiling the info.

You sound dumb when you say yearby isn't elite but Duke is. They have about the same size coming out of high school. TBH yearby is bigger
