From Shannon's third year? From Coker's final years?

This team is mentally soft. It lacks fundamentals. It still gets pushed around. It's slow. It doesn't understand the mental aspects of the game.

I see ABSOLUTELY no difference. At some point you have to wonder if the problem is beyond who is our HC. We spend peanuts on this program. The fact that Andreu Swasey is still our S and C coach when for TEN YEARS our team runs out of gas in November, IS A DISGRACE.

Mark D'Onofrio CANNOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE be retained for next year. There is NO EXCUSE FOR LOGAN THOMAS TO GO 15-19 IN THE FIRST HALF!!!!! None.

This season has also clued me in to something about AG I truly dislike: He's too nice. He'd never sit Morris bc it might hurt Morris' draft stock......He plays Shayon Green and Highsmith bc "they try hard". The team is SOFT bc its run like a kindergarden class.

I will say this though: you have 3 different staffs, all who have recruited well according the the same evaluators that have worked for Bama/FSU/LSU etc. And they ALL have the same issues: Players seem to get worse, players get beat up, players run out of gas at the end of the season, players play better in the NFL than here.......It HAS TO BE something bigger than just the HC.

I think about the revelation that redshirt freshman Johnny Manziel was taking ONE class, and it was online. The bottom line is, our players seem to play like college kids who play football. The elite teams play like football players who happen to be enrolled in college. But hey, our APR is good!

It's a sad reality. We are never going to be back if we don't have a fundamental organizational change. Too little money, too little care from the admin for anything other than graduating players. I have spent the last three years BLASTING Randy Shannon for games JUST LIKE TONIGHT. I WILL NOT BE A HYPOCRITE........FIRE AL GOLDEN starts tonight for me, and will continue until he gets at LEAST new elite DC and S and C coach

All true. I don't see much difference. Other than the really weak schedule that allowed is to win a few extras that were losses under Golden.

This game felt like UVA 07 in that we couldn't stop 1 or 2 plays. Literally didn't even try to stop them. Their OC just laughed and ran it again.

Swasey is definitely part of the problem. But it begins and ends with Shalala.

The football program has been on a steady decline after she took over in 2001. She got involved... and it's gone to **** in a hand basket.
The Shannon hire really set us back 10 years. It was that bad of a hire.

I do think there's a difference.

When Shannon was here I don't feel like we had much of a problem with schematics. I thought our failures were attributed to having a bunch of spoiled kids with no heart. We didn't work hard, didn't cover the details, and our athletes weren't developed.

I feel like our kids today do work hard, they are stronger and they do have heart. The biggest problem is that they're not being put in the best position to make plays. This 2-gap **** we're trying to do on the D-line is one of the examples. There's a reason most teams in college don't do this, IT'S EXTREMELY HARD. How many times do our guys just stay engaged? If your players can't 2-gap then you need to scrap that bull****, let your players pin their ears back. Hit it and get it! Our style of zone play is another example.

IMO we're doing a lot of the wrong things for a school like Miami.
