It was said at the time that it was a simple fracture, much less serious than the injury that Lewis had the year before. He did have surgery on it about three days after teh injury, so I'd suspect it was a type A or B fibula fracture because it was reported it was only a fibula fracture. That means the fracture line was down at the far end of the bone into the ankle joint. A C fracture is above the malleolus, the bump on the ankle, and usually does not require surgery. With any fracture that requires surgery the recovery time is a bit longer but I haven't read anything to make me think he would not be 100% by summer. I did see him from about ten feet away at the bowl game and he was walking with no noticeable limp. He did appear to still have a boot on his right foot.
