Honestly this dude must have some dirt on Shalala or something. The strength of our team has been completely surpassed by every other elite program since tommy Moffitt left. Our front 7 on D and o line were completely outmatched at the POI against any real team. This has been a continued problem for the last 10 years and somehow he stays on.

He ain't the problem....... It's a reason why our alumni come back in the offseason and workout with him. Swasey get you right. Our players just got fat and slow.....

I don't know if he's a problem or not.
I do know that past players coming back should not be considered when evaluating him.
Past players came back before Swassey got here. It didn't start with him.

Alumni would come back regardless.

Players love Swasey and will work for him. He is basically a glorified equipment manager who writes workouts and makes sure the players are lifting. He only partially influences the content of the program and now that someone organized is in charge we have seen dramatic gains in strength and conditioning. I don't know why it doesn't translate on the field, but beplacing Swasey would not change anything.

What we need is a nutritional staff to surround him. Golden knows this and is working on it (from what I have heard).

If the alumni loved him so much why has none of them helped him get a NFL gig or why has the NFL not come a calling...

I don't see too many DLs or Ols coming back..I see Wr and Rbs and some linebackers....more of a get together than anything

same **** different day. Swasey has been a liability and will continue to be one.

I don't think Swasey is one of the better S&C guys, by any means, but what happened in our *** whooping that absolutely showed it was swasey? Was it our run defense? Was it us leaving the AAC defensive player of the year untouched on a few pass plays? We weren't push around defensively. We weren't out-athleted. They coached circles around us with some talented players. I think Coley and D'Ono are out of their league but I'll give L'ville some credit.

Look, the guy isn't great, I agree. If we went another direction, I wouldn't argue the move at all, but what Louisville did to us wasn't Swasey's fault.

He is the one and only constant in this 10-year run of mediocrity. Everything else has changed multiple times, but we still get pushed around. At some point you have to try something else

Our record after Nov 1 since Swasey has been here has been terrible. Like clockwork, the team has faded down the stretch for 10 years.

The goal of a football S and C coach is to improve a players force generation, his agility, his anaerobic conditioning, and his overall physical development to maximize his frame without sacrificing anything.

The problem with our S and C program is that it either produces track results or competitive lifter results. Football strength/power/etc is simply mass x acceleration.

A second problem, one that is equally undeniable, is that our teams never seem to finish the season strong. Our November-December record in the last 10 years is appalling. That is a sign of a team that is physically worn down.

It's either fast and soft, or big and slow with this S and C program. Three different regimes and the same nonsense persists.
