Is he kinda like Ray Lewis' kid and gets more hype than maybe he should because of who his father is, or is he the real deal. I've seen highlights of him but never live.

I think he is very very good. A worthy 4* kid. I think what he brings to the table is perfect for what UF is trying to do on offense. Alex Collins is a better running back in-state, however.

His numbers are the best in state history. He plays against very weak competition though. He should be solid in college, nothing spectacular. He is small and doesn't have an extra gear.

Taylor is #21 in green, and this is Sr footage. He has the powerful, durable build and low center of gravity that help to run inside on SEC defenses. He's agile, has great vision and is also a polished back who can protect on 3rd downs. He's an instant-impact kid who will pick up an offense quickly and be ready to play significant minutes from day 1. He's very similar to Marcus Lattimore.

Collins (based on his most recent highlights) is a better prospect. I had Taylor as the #3 back in this class and a 5* but Collins has bumped Taylor down to 4. Collins hits the hole harder than Taylor with better burst and sharper cuts. He has almost unlimited potential and has already improved a ton from his Jr to Sr year in terms of being more physical and aggressive. He's the rare back than can break tackles, fall forward and pick up chunks of yardage, but also break long runs when the opportunity is there.

Miami has a good chance to get 3 straight 5* backs (Duke, Collins, Sony), each one with more upside than the last...even USC, Texas, etc. don't do this. Only Bama has this opportunity with Yeldon last year, Tyren Jones this year (or Derrick Henry or Altee Tenpenny depending how you feel) and Bo Scarbrough the year after.

I don't think he'll be that effective in college. Not because of skill level, but the wear and tear on him. They are running the wheels off that boy, the amount of carries he's had in HS are crazy.

Don't think that is a big deal as long as he doesnt take direct hits.

I thought he was kinda big, what's his height and weight?

Playing against the competition he does, he probably gives out more punishment than he takes. I think he will be a decent back for UF.

Probably. But I think I read where he's had 200+ carries since his 8th grade year, that's crazy. Especially for a back like him whose game is built on the inside stuff. He's taken a lot of hits already.
