How do you think Ameer Abdullah (NEB) compares to Duke?

Duke against our run defense would go for over 200, not sure what abdullah will/can do, but have to say Dukes better.

Honestly thats the first time i ever seen him play. heard plenty of about him. thought he was way bigger then that for some reason. Duke is more pro ready.Ameer is lightning in a bottle for sure and im impressed. i think if duke played in that scheme he would unstoppable. but since we run a pro scheme he has average numbers.they are so different its really hard to compare.

Duke will give him a lesson on how to use the stiff arm this season. Best in the business.

Both #8. Thats about it. They appear to be very different backs. Abdullah gets more room to work with due to that read option offense. Duke is better over all. But this guys is no slouch.

smaller and doesn't accelerate as quickly. Not sure about top end speed. Duke wins in vision too. Not really much to compare. Duke >>>Abdullah

He's ok. Most of those plays he didnt get touched until he got to the secondary. That o-line seems pretty good. Our defense gotta be ready.

This guy is going to get to play against our defense. Duke won't have that luxury.

BTW, I don't know who's better, but I like the guy on our team.

Not trying to discredit Abdullah, but he plays in a different scheme than Duke. Neb plays a wide open Read-Option Offense, that allows Abdullah wide open lanes to run in. The defense is tricked more so than him creating. Duke plays in an Offense that every defense in the country is keying on him! And he still looks more impressive. And he just looks bigger, stronger, and faster than Abdullah. Special player... Real #8!!!

Duke is going to be doing a lot of this!

any of the schools. Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa they all scare me because our defense is always small and fast. i just remember that 2010 Champs sports bowl and being there live we didn't have a chance with that Oline. they were massive.

There should be a universal rule regarding highlight films that you have to run the footage at realtime speed. Speeding up offensive plays kinda defeats the point of watching more than a minute of these unless you just happen to like the background music.

I'll take our #8 obviously but am worried about their offensive line as some others have already mentioned. This might be a game that we have to turn into a shootout.

Nebraska lost 5 guys from their OL that combined for 125 starts.

Abdullah is playing vs a worse defense IMO. We have been a sucker for that read option crap since BC ran it against us in 99.

Both RB's are very comparable. Neither will play against each other.

Can their defense contain Duke? Can our defense contain Abdullah?

That's the real question.

Were any of Duke University RB's better than Duke Johnson? NO.

Apparently they didn't get the memo and they thrashed us.

I love Duke, but Abdullah is a better player.

Lol that made me laugh. Without Duke we went 2-4 last year! Abdullah is a top 20 rb in the nation, but Duke Is top 5 in the nation

2-3. We were down 35-14 to FSU when Duke got hurt. And, our invisible defense had more to do with losing those 3 than the loss of Duke did.

But, I'll take Duke too.

Didn't watch the film; didn't have to. Duke is better. Here is why. With Duke 7-0; without Duke 2-4. Any questions? When one guy is that important on a passing team with Stacy Coley on it, he is very, very, very good. Would we have loss another game after Tally, if Duke didn't get hurt? I don't think so.
