Here is a great article on how LSU built their defense to stop Spread offenses.

http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2014/5/15/5709380/lsu-defense-john-chavis-spread-offenses

A lot of the concepts could transfer to UM's defensive personal now and be very effective in terms of putting more speed on the field. D'onofrio should study some of LSU's old video against Arkansas for tips on how to adjust his scheme for what Petrino will throw at UM.

The Mustang package sounds Ideal for UM's plethora of DB's, especially considering Louisville is our first opponent and that style of defense has essentially shut down Bobby Petrino's offenses over the years.

Go Canes

Good article.. We have the horses for this defense.. we can be multiple, We can be simple. let's see if we can develop.

Good article and I agree we have the horse's to implement this "attack" but we know that will never happen as long as Dorito is here.

you know these numbers sound impressive, but I bet you that our current players can put up these same numbers (area covered by DB, time it takes to change direction, and weight of front 3) as well.

What we don't do is let our athletes use their abilities.

instead of DBs getting to their spots in 2 seconds, we probably burn a second just for them to react to whatever is happening.

What a difference between Chavis and UM's DC, I hope D'onofrio can get his defense fixed this year by making adjustments .
