Horse collar tackles...

I think that if players are going to be ejected from games for what the officials interpret as intentionally targeting or leading with the helmet they should also kick em out for horse collar tackles. That is clearly done with intent and some feel it is more dangerous. Duke got horse collared last night and I also saw a Georgia receiver get it pretty badly tonight also. It is almost as they are saying they will tolerate players potentially breaking legs or tearing up knees but not getting their bell rung.

x 2 on the no. Flagging it is enough. It's a dangerous part of a dangerous game. Ejections don't need to be happening as much as they will so you'd only compound things by doing this.

The new targeting rules are BS anyway.

There was a Cal Bear that laid a lick on the Northwestern QB (they're a dirty ******* team btw - feigning injuries, a couple of blatant facemasks when they were up etc etc). Ejected for targeting.

It was a form tackle. Clean hit. Joke.

Wait, players intentionally leading with helmet are supposed to be ejected in college? Did they miss Clive Walford's TD?

I totally agree that the rule is BS, I am just saying that if you are going to get kicked out for something like that when there are a lot of variable that the player can't control they should also kick you out for horsecollar tackles because that is 100% intentional.
