With all signs pointing to a top scoring offense I would think from a defensive mindset perspective this should allow the defense to be more aggressive and take more risks. If we get burned on defense no biggie our offense will get those points back. Unlike the previous 2 years where the mindset was more conservative this year should allow the coaches to be more aggressive in their play calling. Well I least I would hope so. Telling year for Golden and Co.

That was actually the mindset when Shannon was our D Coodinator. Although he wasn't our ideal head coach, he was a very good defensive coach that called aggressive plays.

our defensive athletes are just as good as anybody else they were just very young and inexperienced last year coming into a new system. they were in the acc championship game. they know the system now and they are alot bigger and faster so i expect major improvement

Morris needs to make throws he has not made well in the past...we have to run the ball better or its another 7 win season..

I just hope we stop giving offenses anything they want withing 20 yards of the LOS. We make bums look like Hiesman winners, we make coaches of UVA look like Saban.

Really. Shannon aggressive on d? I think the front 4 could just get to the qb. When you have reed/Taylor over the top. I mean with that d whatever you call would prob work.

Yea other teams TE laughed

The defense needs kids with experience to be in the right place to make the plays. They were making too many mistakes last year. That part should be better this year. There were too many blown assignments last year. It's a lot easier to play an aggressive defense when you can trust everyone to be where they're supposed to be, instead of running around clueless.
