Is he a 3 to play 2 JUCO guy? That was my understanding, which means we only have him for one more year. I think this kid could develop and make an NFL roster if he keeps working.

Ladarius "Gunther" Gunter according to the Hurricane Sports website is a redshirt sophomore but it also says the following

"Junior College: Ranked three-star prospect at cornerback by Rivals.com and two-star prospect by Scout.com ... Begins career as junior after two seasons spent with Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kan. ... Originally hails from Montgomery, Ala., and played for Jefferson Davis High School ... Had 24 tackles through seven games with Fort Scott this past season, including three tackles-for-loss ... Also forced two fumbles and returned interception 100 yards for touchdown ... Played for coach Curtis Horton at Fort Scott."

So he either redshirt at CC and has 3 to play 3 or he didn't and played 2 season and has 3 to play 2.

It is confusing. I think he redshirt or didn't play at CC one season, he probably has 2 years left. Sorry I can't help.

I'm just hoping we don't somehow learn that he shouldn't even be college eligible because he never graduated high school. There's a big **** storm going on right now in Montgomery with regards to grade fixing. It'd be just my luck. smh

Rest assured that if he had any issues the Clearinghouse would have held him up.

They love ******* with Miami.

Swagger,
At least one of the earliest UM rosters for this year listed Gunter as a RSJunior, but that error was corrected at least a month and a half ago. Every official roster since then has listed him as a RSSoph.

Love this kid, who many here though was a waste of scholie. Love how big and physical he is. We need a line, because the LBs and DBs are going to be very good.
