Notes someone posted online yesterday.
Offense-Gus looked like a stud. He ran behind his pads and finished off some good runs between the tackles and he busted one and found the sideline and out ran the secondary including the last man left to make the tackle which was Sutton.
Quarterbacks- looked average at best.
Offensive- line looked good run blocking and on rush drills. Gabois looks like a player he absolutely annihilated a pass rusher during pass rush drills. The left side of the line looks like it is set. The LT Flowers looks like he has gotten bigger, lets say put on good weight and he appears to be playing at a different level than anyone playing across from him.
WR and TE-Not much to say because they drilled on the other field and they didn't throw that much during the controlled scrimmage which took place on the field closest to the observers.
Walter Tucker looked fast and physical.
Defensive Line-Quan is noticeably bigger and plays at a high speed I think he will have a good season
Mc Cord has obviously put on weight.
Harris looks like he will start out playing the role that Quan did last year. He looked small which is expected but he is a competitor. I think he had an interception but it was on the sideline and the players were jumping around which obscured my view.
The Dline played about equal snaps in the 3-4 as it did in the 4-3
Number 91 looks bigger and played well even though I think he got in trouble toward the end of practice.
Number 93 played over the center when they were in the 3-4 and pushed the pocket. He looks bigger and more physical than the rest of the d lineman.
Earl Holmes and Pierre were the staring tackles when they was in the 4-3. Quan and McCord were both playing on the edge in the 4-3.
Linebackers-Perryman looked bigger and physical. Jermaine will be sore tonight because he came up and hit Gus on a couple of plays as well as some other ball carriers. Kirby looked like he was much more comfortable and had some solid stops during the scrimmage.
The defensive backs locked down receivers for most of the day. The only receiver that I remember making a clean catch for a decent gain was number 80. Bush was sporting his black Jersey and looking like he was ready to go.
Note-I noticed David Perry was dressed but not participating. He appeared to be frustrated. I don't know what is going on with that. He looked like he has put on lots of good weight.
