In today's high turnover world of college football, I think it's kinda important that the HC becomes an asset on either offense or defense. Alabama is running Nick Saban's defense. Ohio State is running Urban Meyers Offense. FSU is running Fishers offense. Those teams don't really have to rely on hiring 2 great coordinators because they basically have huge input in coaching one side of the ball. Not too many coaches get lucky and get Bud Foster for 20 years like Beamer did. Golden might be an awesome HC but I have no clue if he is having a lot of input on the defensive side of the ball where most of his experience is coming from. I'm praying he has zero input because if we do were even more ****ed than I thought. From all his interviews he doesn't seem to be heavily involved with the defense.

It doesn't appear that he does. If you notice in TO's he is usually off to the side letting the coordinators work.

Very telling last year when Golden tried to push coach D into the Temple job. I'm anxious to see how the D plays the rest of the season and what Golden decided to do with coach D.

I still have a lot of faith in Golden. He is a true leader and has a great vision for Miami. I believe he will put this program in the top 10 in the years to come.
