Has the CO-DC Over promoted hires materialize anything yet?

This grotesque over promotion of Banda/Patke is gonna come back to bite us big time on 2020 recruiting trail. Neither one of these dudes has the resumes that says' "I'll get you to the next level". Experienced OC's are gonna push their **** in backwards when they fail to adjust to schemes

Why not wait until this years seniors are drafted from one of the top pass defenses in the country and watch the further development of the striker players instead of mindlessly blabbering about things you seem unwilling and/ or unable to comprehend.

The more and more i think about this the more i tend to think we have a puncher's chance at being ok.

I'm not one of the people that think any coach could've come in here and kept our scheme. Coaches are normally married to a particular scheme for better or worse. Plus the list of "potential DCs" was WOOF. Most were 3-4 discipline with not prior experience of calling the D, some 4-3 coaches with no experience in calling a D, and some older DCs who didn't excite.

Ever wonder if that list might have been comprised ( concocted / made up) to support Morks in house idiotic hire.

You can’t tell me there is no one in P5 football or at the FBS level that runs a scheme similar to Manny’s that wouldn’t at least interviewed here if given a chance?

What is it about people making everything a referendum on CMR?

I'm not sure that was the OPs question. You're not a fan of CMR or his decisions, that's ok, but ca we discuss who you think could've come in with a similar scheme that would've checked all your boxes? what boxes would you have liked checked? It's not BS that coaches are married to their schemes lots of time and people are hired based of schemes is it? It's also not BS that "anyone" could come in here and run the same scheme either. I think we all like the current scheme and that it really fits the talent base we have around our recruiting area right? So if you agree that you like that scheme then what other schools out there run a similar scheme? TCU?

I also don't think Banda gets as much love as he should. Our safety play the last 3 years has been pretty good so Banda knows how to put his guys in position to succeed and get the most out of them. Do you agree with that? I think he gets a bad wrap cause he bartended 10 years ago. Should he have been made DC? I don't know, but he's there now so lets hope he is up for the task.

All I alluded to was that the “list” that was seen had no one that ran a defense similar to Manny’s and that if a real search had been done I’m pretty sure several people that do run a defense similar could have been found.

And just because YOU don’t think Banda gets enough love on here and I’d good enough to call a defense because he did a pretty decent job with his “group” doesn’t mean me or anyone else have to agree with you.

You want to believe the Hurd was as good as we could do and the right people got hired fine.But I’d bet you for every one person that thinks like you I can find 20 that think otherwise.

Your Crystal ball only works for Canes 2020 recruiting trail?
I could use the lotto numbers if you have them.

Nobody is trilled with the state of the staff, but the constant nagging and negative is tiresome. Even when the coaches that proved to be competent are promoted we complain.

Marerialized some decommitments, and a loss of interest in the program amongst uncommitted kids who were consodering us.

Where did i say i believe the right guy got hired? Herd mentality? I mean WTF are you talking about? All i alluded too was that Banda, IMO, is a pretty good coach and doesn't get the respect he should. You don't have too, but then you would just be an unabashed HATER cause our safety play has been very good for 3 years.

I guess i just don't think it's going to be an unmitigated disaster like you do and a difference of opinion is fine, but again everything isn't about CMR.

Basically have no OC and no DC coming off 7-5. We not fuggin. We got Major major major problems.
Good news is it all rests on Richt. Bad news is Flake James is saving the “make him get real OC/DC for after next seasons debacle
